The Wolverines Get It Done in Big Ten Opener

Big play from quarterback Lamar Battles, throwing for 308 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Joseph Montague and Evan DeLuca scored one rushing TD each.

Kane Simms caught the ball 8 times for 96 yards and 2 TDs. And freshman Gabe Johnson scored on a 43-yard touchdown pass.

The Wolverines welcome Rutgers to Ann Arbor next week for another Big Ten showdown.

Michigan Runs Over Rutgers

Michigan quarterback Lamar Battles completed 17 of 24 pass attempts for 220 yards and a touchdown. Joseph Montague carried the ball 19 times for 127 yards and four touchdowns. Eric DeLuca also scored a rushing touchdown.

Kane Simms had six receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown. And freshman Gabe Johnson scored a rushing touchdown as well. Gabe also took back a punt 53 yards for a touchdown.

Michigan's defense looked impressive as well. Michigan's D recorded two sacks (one from Eric Sosa and one from Jackson McCormick), and Elijah Poutasi recording Michigan's only interception.

ive noticed a lot more big plays from the cpu since the update too and i don't think ive nabbed an int since then either. makes you wonder

The Wolverines Hold Onto the Jug

Michigan defeated the Minnesota Golden Gophers to hang onto the Little Brown Jug at the Big House.

Lamar Battles threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns. Joseph Montague had 88 yards on 13 carries and three touchdowns. And Michigan's lead receiver was Mohammad Okeafor, making five receptions for 100 yards. He didn't record a touchdown however. But Brian Priester and Kane Simms both had touchdown receptions.

Michigan's defense looked impressive. Defensive tackle Jackson McCormick recorded 2.5 sacks. Elijah Poutasi, Devone Bridge and Kaleb Berger all recorded interceptions as well.

The Wolverines travel to Lincoln, Nebraska to take on the Cornhuskers next weekend.

The Wolverines Get It Done Against the Cornhuskers

The Wolverines came out on fire against the #17 Nebraska Cornhuskers and really didn't slow down.

Lamar Battles threw for over 200 yards and two touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions.

Joseph Montague rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown. Nicholas Quarterman also rushed for a touchdown.

Kane Simms was at it again, recording three receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown. Brian Priester also recorded a receiving touchdown, with a beautiful one-handed catch.

And Michigan's defense continued to be dominant. They blocked an attempted field goal. Also Matt Curtis had two sacks and an interception. Elijah Poutasi and Rob Rubin also had interceptions, but both took them back to the house for six.

Michigan will head back to Ann Arbor where next week they will host the Purdue Boilermakers, and a group of recruits coming to check out the game.
