2010 Saints Schedule:

WK 1
Lions @ SAINTS

WK 2
SAINTS @ Eagles

WK 3
SAINTS @ Bills

WK 4
Jets @ SAINTS

WK 5
*** BYE ***

WK 6
Giants @ SAINTS

WK 7
SAINTS @ Dolphins

WK8
Falcons @ SAINTS

WK 9
Panthers @ SAINTS

WK 10
SAINTS @ Rams

WK 11
SAINTS @ Buccaneers

WK 12
Patriots @ SAINTS

WK 13
SAINTS @ Redskins

WK 14
SAINTS @ Falcons

WK 15
Cowboys @ SAINTS

WK 16
Buccaneers @ SAINTS

WK 17
SAINTS @ Panthers

All I can say about this schedule is WOW..... The out of conference teams alone are tough, but then playing the panthers and falcons twice is also a killer.

ESPN NFL Live Prediction for the Saints: 7-9

It'd be funny if you lost to the revamped Lions. But good luck, maybe you can snatch a wildcard spot.

New Orleans Star Ledger

Week 1 Preview:

Detroit @ SAINTS

After a disappointing 8-8 season, the New Orleans Saints try to rebound in 2009 starting out at home against the less than stellar Detroit Lions. The Lions (0-16) are trying to salvage a little shred of respectability. When asked about last year, WR Calvin Johnson said “Last year is last year, this year we have an 0-16 chip on our shoulders…. I feel bad for the team we play first…. We need to let out some aggression.”

Well that team is the Saints. Led by Veteran QB Drew Brees, the Saints come in looking to be a solid contender in the deep NFC. Many questions swirl around this franchise, namely can Reggie Bush carry the running workload for the entire season. Yes they have Pierre Thomas as a backup but truth be told the offensive passing game will flourish with Bush gaining big yards on the ground every game.

The Lions D should prove no match for the fast explosive O of the Saints. The vegas line has the opening week line at +9 for the Saints. NFL Live predicts a Bourbon Street beatdown

Re: From the Superdome to the Superbowl (New Orleans Saints Madden 10)

Drew Brees has just sat down after his practice and is ready to field some questions from the media.

Q: What are your goals for the season?
DB: Well I think with any season or any team you want to win the whole thing. Anyone who tells you differently is just lying to ya.

Q: Are you optimistic about the running game?
DB: Well Reg is an amazing athlete. We have seen in the past he can absolutely take over a game and dominate, the real question should be does he have enough faith in me to get him the ball…. He knows he can make it happen, he’s a superstar.

Q: What team in your division do you see giving you the biggest problem?
DB: Ha….. umm all of them actually, listen it’s the NFL. Every team at any time can win a big game. Giants super bowl ring a bell? I love football its in my blood, and in our division its go hard or go home… was that enough catch phrases for all the papers here?

Q: Any last sound bites?
DB: Sure….. See you Sunday!

Saints Tame Lions...
Win First Game In Laugher

New Orleans-
Kickoff 2009 was upon us last night as the Lions traveled to the Superdome to clash with the Saints. Well, clash is a strongly overused term as the Saints quickly disposed of the Lions 34-20. The score doesn't tell the entire story.Reggie Bush was an absolute beast with 225 total all purpose yards (92 rush 1 td, 69 receiving 1 td, 64 punt return) proving at least for the first game he can shoulder an entire workload. Drew Brees was almost perfect going 14-16 for 273 yards and 2 td's.

The Saints defense didn't disappoint either, stopping the Lions running game for only 45 yards and the passing game (minus the late 4th quarter no huddle) to only 200 yards and 2 scores.

Lions 0 6 0 14 20
Saints 7 7 10 10 34

The Saints move to 1-0 and look ahead to week 2 traveling to Phiily to face the 0-1 Eagles.

**hey guys, if anyone knows a good place to get box score tables id appreciate it**
