Anyone else sick and tired of this Brink crap?

Anyways, Gooden will be a good fit in the 3-4 and Dixon and Giacomini will be good role players/development prospects

Guess Harrington will start with Hill gone and Smith on the block

I thought that Dixon had a very low potential though?

In terms of being a passing QB yes. In the mobile/speed philosophy however hes the best in 08 though.
Even though IIRC this 49ers team isnt mobile/speed philosophy, Dixon will as the poster said, work well in wildcat/option plays

Dont worry Kahuma, Woodson probably won't stick around long. You are correct Sanchez on Harrington probably starting the season. If I can get Smith traded, I will probably pick up another QB in the free agent pool. Of course, as previously stated, Dixon will work well in the wildcat and option plays so I will keep him to see what he can do. Thanks for reading. I will have more up tonight.

Entry #13

Well, it is the day after our first preseason game against the Oakland Raiders. Before I get to that, I am going to tell you the events that led up to that day. After the draft, the owner wanted me to trade for the Eagles defensive end Darren Howard but I refused to since I do not like trading my draft picks. I find them to be too valuable, maybe for my own good. The Jaguars tried to trade me tight end George Wrighster, but I accepted that one since they only asked for a 4th round pick. I was also excited when I finished my rookie signings. They went as follows:

SS Kenny Phillips- 12.47M/5 YR with 5M Bonus
Incentives: 1M for 5 INT; 1M for 50 Tackles

WR Jerome Simpson- 3.77M/4 YR with 1.5M Bonus
Incentives: 500K for 1,000 yds; 500K for 10 Rec TDs

HB Ray Rice- 2.98M/4 YR with 500K Bonus
Incentives: 500K for 16 games started; 500K for 1,000 yds rushing

MLB Tavares Gooden- 2.32M/3 YR with 500K Bonus
Incentives: 1M for 16 games started; 1M for 50 Tackles

QB Dennis Dixon- 1.99M/3 YR
Incentives: 500K for 16 games started

LT Nathan Bank- 900K/3 YR with 100K Bonus
Incentives: 100K for 16 games started

RT Breno Giacomini- 1.18M/3 YR with 500K Bonus
Incentives: 500K for 16 games started

I also sent out training camp invite to a group of guys that I felt could give me a good team going into the preseason.

RE Simeon Rice
ROLB Harry Thompson
FB Chester Clay
C Sylven Footman
DT Eric Nelson
FS Wayne Tyson
K Billy Newsome
RG Terrell Tatum
DT Dan Fox
FB James Hodgins
TE Jerame Tuman
TE Anthony Becht
RG Gene Mruckzkowski
LE Lance Johnstone
LE Brandon Green
RE Al Wallace

Then during training camp, we got some horrible news. Our starting left outside linebacker Manny Lawson was injured on an 11 on 11 drill. He suffered a high ankle sprain and estimated time to be back will be 4-6 weeks. Then I was forced with some cuts to make. The four people I cut were FB James Hodgins, TE Anthony Becht, TE Jerame Tuman, and RE Simeon Rice. Terrell Tatum was held out of the game and Lawson was out due to injury, but we were able to pull off the win beating the Raiders 37-3.

OOC: I am only simming the preseason, and will coach the regular season.
