Tampa Bay Surges Late to Beat Bills

Tampa Bay, FL -- Despite taking a lead into halftime, it took a late touchdown run by rookie Carnell Williams to finally be enough to win the game. Both teams struggled passing the ball, but did exceptional when it came to pounding the ball on the ground.

Chris Simms even managed to draw some boos from the fans after the awful 3rd quarter for the Tampa Bay offense. Some fans voiced their opinions that Tim Rattay should be the Bucs starting quarterback, and those opinions only became louder after Rattay stepped in while Simms was injured during the 2nd quarter of last weeks game.

The Buccaneers travel to Green Bay next week, which is always a challenge.

Chris Simms: 16/34, 152 yds, 0 TD, 2 INT

Carnell Williams: 21 car, 130 yds, 2 TD
Michael Pittman: 5 car, 30 yds, TD
Mike Alstott: 3 car, 8 yds

Michael Clayton: 5 rec, 55 yds
Joey Galloway: 4 rec, 28 yds
Michael Pittman: 2 rec, 24 yds

Kelly Holcomb: 4/6, 30 yds
J.P. Losman: 11/28, 114 yds, TD, INT

Willis McGahee: 17 car, 108 yds
J.P. Losman: 4 car, 25 yds
Shaud Williams: 6 car, 21 yds, TD

Lee Evans: 3 rec, 42 yds
Willis McGahee: 2 rec, 30 yds, TD
Eric Moulds: 4 rec, 28 yds

Falcons Sign Troublesome T.O.

Atlanta, GA -- The Atlanta Falcons came to terms with wide receiver Terrell Owens shortly after their victory against the Seahawks yesterday afternoon. Owens gives Michael Vick a much needed weapon, and help the leagues worst passing offense so far this season.

The deal is reportedly worth just over $8.5 million, and is only a one year contract. Reports say that the Falcons aren't convinced that Owens can behave himself, but if he can there could contract extension talks later into the season.

The Falcons were already the team to beat in the NFC south, and this move certainly helps their chances at making the playoffs.

Offensive Explosion Leads Tampa Past Packers

Green Bay, WI -- Tampa Bay improves to 3-0 after defeating the Green Bay Packers 41-28 at Lambeau Field this afternoon. The Buccaneers put up over 450 yards on offense, including close to 200 yards rushing. Rookie running back Carnell Williams lead the way again with his 3rd straight 100+ yard rushing game. He also scored 3 touchdowns in the contest.

The NFC's leading rush defense also managed to hold the Packers to just 66 yards on the ground, making every carry difficult for Samkon Gado. Green Bay really struggled to move the ball on 3rd down, and really wasn't effective at scoring unless it was on a big play. They only made it to the red zone twice, but managed to come away with touchdowns on both occations.
