LHSSAA Playoffs Preview: Leesville Wampus Cats WR Hollisworth
The Leesville Wampus Cats always have a breakout player to carry the brute of the work, carving Leesville deep into the playoffs. Last year, it was LSU commit Micheal Ford. This year, it seems to be Greg Hollisworth, a 6-7 215...speedster. "I've always been a pretty squatter." says Hollisworth with a smile. As his teammates laugh, reporters look around. They don't get it. Hollisworth runs a 4.34 40, and squats 450, decent for a receiver in High School. But the son of a car salesman prides him self with his height- at 6'7", most 4A receivers have a hard time covering the big man-a reason why he had 4 receiving TD's and 197 yards against the Springfield Bulldogs last week in a 41-10 romp in the driving rain.
"That was just a taste." Said Hollisworth, "Everybody is going to have a #8 Hollisworth jersey in 5-6 years." When asked about his overconfidence, "I don't see how that's a bad thing. If you think im over confident, you have to prove me wrong. I have a reason to be over confident."
Leesville drew a 3 seed and will travel to Scott next week.
