Under the Radar: Madden 10 Arizona Cardinals Dynasty

Cardinals Looking to Bounce Back

PHOENIX, AZ- Last year ended in heartbreak for the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals entered Super Bowl XLIV as 12 point underdogs. They strode through the playoffs with clutch performances, underdog comebacks, and one deserving win after another. In the Wild Card Game, they beat the Falcons 30-24. In this game, they were down 17-7 at the half, but they came back and scored 17 unanswered points in the third quarter. They came in to the Divisional round as another underdog to the Carolina Panthers. They had a 27-7 lead at the half, and they won easily 33-13. They then proceeded to upset the offensive juggernaut Philadelphia Eagles in a thriller in which they won 32-25. Superbowl XLIV: They were down 20-7 at the half, and then they came back with three straight scores, to take the lead. Unfortunately however, Ben Roethisburger and the Steelers performed a 1:41 drive that ended in a spectacular touchdown catch by Santonio Holmes.

NFL GAME REPORT

Warner's 3 TD seal the deal in Phoenix

49'ERS 16, CARDINALS 24

PHOENIX, AZ- The entire game was controlled by the Arizona Cardinals. The Cards' jumped out to a 10-0 lead, and then were scared when the 49'ers took a 3 point lead at the half. But the Cardinals dominated the second half and won 24-16. Kurt Warner was very solid, with a QB rating just under 100 at 98.9. He threw for 243 yards on 23 attempts. Larry Fitzgerald had 6 catches, 2 of which were touchdowns. Urban had the other touchdown catch, and Boldin had a solid 4 catches for 79 yards. It was record heat in Phoenix this afternoon during the game, striking up at 101 degrees fahrenheit. It came 5 degrees short of 2003 when it was 106 degrees in the stadium. You could tell that the Cardinal fans are seeking vengeance. Even though the preseason games do not count, the Cardinals are still very happy over the 73-10 win they had over the Steelers during preseason. Fans are excited to have another matchup with Pittsburgh in the Superbowl.

Minnesota Beatdown
Brett Favre and the Vikings destroyed Brady Quinn and the Browns, 38-13. Favre had 247 yards and 3 TD passes in his Vikings opener. Adrian Peterson had a huge day with 174 rushing yards with 2 touchdowns.

Terrell Owens' goes not as planned
A highly anticipated game opener for the Buffalo Bills against the Patriots with new WR Terrell Owens went horrible for the team. They lost 30-7, and T.O. only caught the rock twice for a weak 19 yards.

Jay Cutler's Chicago Preview goes so-so
