Re: Texas Unites: A Longhorn & Cowboys Dynasty/Franchise

Horns roll over Cowboys

Not alot was needed in an easy 52-17 win over Wyoming today. McCoy connected on 11 of 13 passes for 153 yards and only played the 1st half. But it was the defense that had a big day with 4 Sacks & an INT TD and also a fumble recovered for a TD. Senior LB Roddrick Muckelroy returned an interception 92 yards after Wyoming QB Robert Benjamin was hit by Senior DE Sergio Kindle.

Game Leaders
Passing:
Wyoming QB R. Benjamin - 26/40 - 337 Yds - INT
Rushing:
Wyoming RB D. Terry - 17 att - 83 Yds - TD
Receiving: Wyoming WR T. Buckhalter - 6 rec - 102 Yds
Tackles: Wyoming S S. Gary - 16 tackles - TFL
Sacks: Wyoming LB B. Hendricks, Texas DE E. Jones, Texas DT T. Higgins, Texas DE D. Johnson, Texas DT L. Houston - 1
INTs: Texas LB R. Muckelroy - 1 - TD

Re: Texas Unites: A Longhorn & Cowboys Dynasty/Franchise

Dallas wasted little time when it came to getting on the board first as they scored on their opening possession. Romo found TE Jason Witten up the middle and he steamrolled over the SS on his way to the Cowboys first score of the season. However, Tampa Bay would have an answer but couldn't come up with a 3rd and short play to extend the drive, so they had to settle for a 26 yard FG.

The name of the game for Dallas was time of possession. Dallas combined for 185 rushing yards on the day, Tony Romo could have taken the day off.

Tampa had little answer for Dallas and Freeman was under constant pressure. The Dallas defense combined for 6 Sacks and 2 INTs on the day.

Dallas Individual Stats
Passing
T. Romo - 12/21, 138 Yds, 2 TD, INT
Rushing
M. Barber - 25 car, 112 Yds, 4.4 avg, 2 TD
T. Choice - 11 car, 28 Yds, 2.5 avg
F. Jones - 5 car, 49 Yds, 9.8 avg
Receiving
J. Witten - 3 rec, 59 Yds, 19.6 avg, TD
M. Austin - 3 rec, 31 Yds, 10.3 avg, TD
F. Jones - 2 rec, 17 Yds, 8.5 avg
Defense
A. Spencer - 4 solo tackles, 2 assists, 3 TFL, 2.0 Sacks
B. James - 3 solo tackles, 2 assists, 2 INTs

M. Spears - 2 solo tackles, 1 TFL, 1.0 Sack
D. Ware - 1 solo tackle, 3 assists, 1 TFL, 1.0 Sack

Tampa Bay Individual Stats
