Aaron 'A-Rodg' Rodgers' Greenbay Packers | Franchise Report

Hey whats up guys, I'm gonna start reporting on my Packers franchise. I'm roughly four weeks in already so I need to catch up. I have fully updated rosters so all the off season transactions and such have been made. I also have the 2010 rookies in and everything. I also believe I have a real 2011 draft class (Players like Jake Locker)

Here are my settings:
Bills Custom V2 Sliders
12 Minute Quarters
15 Second Accelerated Clock
Injuries are on

I have no reason to follow the Packers IRL, but I do. They're just a good team, a well run organization and have a lot of young talent. I was a fan when they had Favre, and I'm a huge fan of Rodgers too. Mike McCarthy also impresses me as a coach. Hope you do well with these guys!

Re: Aaron 'A-Rodg' Rodgers' Greenbay Packers | Franchise Report

Since I am currently at week 8 I will just do a recap of what has happened thus far.

Packers have great first half, Lead the NFC North

Ever since the departure of Favre the Packers have slipped off the top of the NFC North. But things have changed this season, Alot! The packers are currently sitting at 5-2 and are perfect within their division beating the Lions, Vikings and Bears respectively. Their only two losses coming in week three against the Patriots as they were dismantled on defense 37-13 and once more in week 6 as the Eagles stole a last second win at Lambeau 26-21.

Aside from those two losses the pass game has been on fire with Aaron Rodgers at 2,274 passing yards and they have yet to face the Bears this week 8. Although he has had put up these numbers he has been quite errant with the football throwing 15 interceptions to his 14 touchdowns especially last week when against the Lions where he had thrown 5 interceptions in their 36-25 win over the Lions. He has definitely followed under Favres 'gunslinger win at any cost' attitude. But the true star on this offense is WR Greg Jennings who is having the best first half of a season for any wide receiver in the history of the NFL. He already sits at 79 catches for 1,081 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns. The next person who comes close is Reggie Wayne with 815 receiving yards but after that there is a steep drop.

In 2009 the team had major line issues and it has transitioned over this season even with the Rookie Sergio Render and addition of C Alex Mack from who they acquired from Cleveland for MLB Nick Barnett and another player. Rodgers has been sacked 20 times thus far. On defense they have been playing well for the most part but their run D seems to be their weakness as well as getting a great pass rush but the secondary has been playing lights out with 16 interceptions so far. Charles Woodson leading the secondary with 5. The Run game has struggled this season although they haven't called on it too much. Ryan Grant sits at 438 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. He has had only 113 touches so far.

There have been a lot of injuries so far this season, Many being season ending injuries. The notable season ending injuries are:

MLB Keith Brooking - Severe Concussion
HB Frank Gore - Torn Groin Muscle
RG Hank Fraley - Broken Tibia (Leg)
MLB Ray Lewis - Torn Pectoral Muscle
HB Darren McFadden - Torn Pectoral Muscle
LOLB Julian Peterson - Torn Pectoral Muscle

Well my PS3 just took a dump and died. So I'm going to have this on hold for a bit. Hopefully I get another one soon.
