After Notre Dames season came to an abrupt with a horrendous record of 6-6 things seemed like they could only get worse...... they did! Charlie Weis got fired and Juniors Jimmy Clausen and Golden Tate decided to enter the NFL draft early and start their NFL carrers. During this whole process Notre Dane offered Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly the job of a life time to become Notre Dames next head football coach. It did not take long for Brian Kelly to accept.



This is what he had to say after accepting the job offer to coach Notre Dame.


" Notre Dame has had some of its worse years during the past couple of years but, rest assured Irish fans the golden years are coming back. Dont expect us to win it all this year but in the following years to come . We have a talented team this year and we expect to do great things and of course our goal is to win the National Championship."
