Rich Eisen: Reports are coming out of Charlotte that the Panthers have agrees to terms with 3 players this week.

1. Kevin Jones 5yr/ 6.35m

2. Colt Brennan 3 yr/ 1.5 m

3. Nick Harper 2 yr/ 3.2m

To make room for these moves the Panther have cut ties with Mike Goodson, Hunter Cantwell, and Tony Pike.

Trey: Carolina Panthers Head Coach John Fox has just announced that 4th year reciever Dwayne Jarrett will start the season as the no. 2 wideout opposite of Steve Smith. Despite a great preseason by rookie Brandon Lafell, Fox thinks that Jarrett's height will be a huge boost for the team in the redzone. Lafell will begin the season seeing playing time in the slot position, and as the teams punt returner.

Panther's Training Camp Spotlight: Armanti Edwards

Armanti Edwards is loved in the Carolinas, and as fate would have it has landing with the Carolina Panthers after the 2010 NFL draft. There have been alot of questions surrounding the drafting and signing of Edwards. Many wonder if it was the right moved to draft a qb turned wr (a project) on such a young team.

To quote Head Coach John Fox, "Once the season starts Armanti is going to be weapon we use quite often". It seems that the Panthers have big plans for their "project", and do plan on seeing him on the field in a couple of different formations. I guess we will follow the preseason closely to see how the team utilizes him during the 4 game stretch.

Panthers sack Giants

Carolina 34 New York 14

The Panther's defense was on a mission Sunday afternoon in the Meadowlands holding the Giants to just 14 points. Sherrod Martin recorded 4 tackles, had an interception, and forced a fumble to lead the D.

The game wasn't all good as all pro rb deangelo Williams had to leave the game early in the third quarter. He is back in Charlotte having an MRI done. He left the game with 10 carries for 48 yards and a score.

Dwayne Jarrettt had a fantastic game going for 5 catches and 103 yards. Matt Moore was serviceable going 15/25 with 208 yards and a pick.

Next week's matchup
