NOTES:
- Glad to see WR Miles Austin win WR of the Year, classy and humble guy
- Peyton Manning wins mvp yet again.. ho-hum
- How bout my rookie DLineman Trovon Blissett?! He won DEFENSIVE LINEMAN OF THE YEAR!! Yet somehow only came in 3rd for defensive rookie of the year.. hmm
- "MVP" .. I'm gonna keep a close eye on this going forward, I want to see a defensive guy make the finalists.. all those guys are offensive players!
- Two finalists for Offensive ROTY are Bengal wideouts.. who better to mentor them than one Ohocinqo

[ THE EXTRA POINT WILDCARD RECAP AND DIVISIONAL PREVIEW ]
When I lost Chad Henne some 11 or 12 weeks.. I honestly did not even think he'd be back. I signed QB Chris Simms off free agency and he performed pretty well keeping the Dolphin win streak alive and did everything I Asked of him.. to get the ball to our playmakers. I'm not gonna lie.. I shortened the playbook.. I called mostly drag routes, quick slants and HB Screens.. I missed the vertical threat Henne represented.
After the wildcard, hosting League MVP Peyton Manning and the Colts.. I knew I had to give my team the best chances of winning and started Chad Henne coming off of the injured list.
Once again, my team was intact and I had access to my entire playbook.. and boy did I need it. The Colts were suffering thru a plethora of injuries including TE Dwight Clark and DE Dwight Freeney, but regardless .. they still have Peyton and Addai and Reggie Wayne..
the game was more physical than I imagined.. the Colts gave us all we could handle and it took overtime to win the game.. ultimately, what won me the game was the decision I made before it.. starting Chad Henne over Chris Simms as Henne went vertical on the 1st play of OT securing not only a FG but driving it in for the sudden death Touchdown

This was a heart-attack.. down by 3, 4th qtr, 40 seconds left.. to cough up the fumble made my heart stop beating.. thankfully, Miami recovered but needless to say I immediately kicked the FG sending the game to OT
Spoiler
Welcome back Henne! First play of OT.. right down the middle
Spoiler
New OT rules? Doesn't apply when the team scores a TOUCHDOWN!!
UP NEXT --------------- INJURY REPORTS: DOLPHINS & BENGALS
The upstart Bengals make it to the AFC Title Game! This is a bit worrysome as Carson Palmer and co comes to town and you know Chad Ochocinqo is gonna play well.. but they also have 2 finalists for Rookie Offensive Players of the Year both of whom happen to be WR's as well.. this tells me Carson is having a field day..
I'm gonna rely on my defense to put the fear in his heart.. all I know is this is the AFC Conference Championship and it's gonna be one hell of a game!
AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: Bengals @ Dolphins - Year 2 - 2011
The 2011 Miami Dolphins started off 7-0 and lost our starting QB Chad Henne.. We picked up a journeyman free agent QB Chris Simms and continued to win to a record of 11-0 before suffering our first defeat. We sealed the division, then the conference, we had the best record in the entire league... but every story has an end.
The Cincinnati Bengals led by QB Carson Palmer, RB's Cedric Benson and Bernard Scott, WR Chad Ochocinco and LB's Keith Rivers went to Sun Life Stadium and took the afc title away from us. I can talk about how Chad Green was injured in the 2nd qtr and Chris Simms couldn't get us to the superbowl.. but that's making excuses. Cedric Benson was knocked out of the game too in the 1st and that's really when they won the game.
Simply put, what I saw in our 1st pre-season game and what I knew was the weakness of my team all along is what eventually knocked us out of the playoffs. I have always touted my defense as being very aggressive and physical.. but I also knew that this made them susceptible to speed. When Cedric got injured, a power RB.. and was replaced by the more explosive RB Bernard Scott.. that is when the Bengals took control of the game and the AFC title.
It was a great run and we've done more and gone further than I even anticipated.. but this will leave a very bad taste in my mouth. All I know is I have no sympathy for this league next season.. my players will only get better and I will unleash hell!

I don't know what's worse.. that we lost the AFC Championship game or that Ochocinco got to do his dance in Sun Life Stadium

this is actually a great sounding superbowl matchup.. the explosive Bengals led by Palmer and Ochocinco along with their dual WR rookies who were finalists for Offensive ROTY's vs all the promise the 49ers represent.. plus the teams have faced each other in the unforgettable superbowl in the past with Joe Montana's game-winning touchdown pass

Congratulations to the Cincinnati Bengals for winning their first ever Superbowl. Carson Palmer finally leads them to the top and of course, Ochocinco was the Superbowl MVP. This team is something to watch as not only is their nucleus intact but they also have 2 WR finalists for offensive rookies of the year.. I'm sure they'll be a force for years to come.
Great job with this, really like the way you present your Dynasty. Tough loss to the Bengals, at least they went on to win the Super Bowl. I feel it's just a little worst to lose to the team that loses the next game.
