Detroit Free Press - Ironically Michigan had San Diego State scheduled before Brady Hoke even took the job. But in any way, Hoke still has to face most of the kids he coached last year. His QB at San Diego State last year, Ryan Lindley, is having his best year as the starter of the Aztecs. He has thrown for over 770 yards this season with 8 TD passes. Lindley's best offensive target is Gavin Escobar, who has caught almost half of the yards Lindley has thrown this season. The pass game is once again going to be the rise or fall of the Michigan defense, who is ranked #117th in total pass defense going into this game (talk about total deja vu of last year). Michigan's defense is going to have to make SDSU turn the ball over, something that the defense has actually been good at this year (ranked #3 in the nation in turnovers).
