Analysis: Jonathan Goff has been tasked with taking the next step this year and becoming the QB of this New York defense. To do so in this Monday Night showdown, he will have to stop St. Louis' heart and soul, RB Steven Jackson. Jackson went head to head with LeSean McCoy of the Eagles last week, as the two combined for 458 rushing yards and 6 TDs in the Rams victory. Goff will prove in this game whether or not he can go toe to toe with the NFL's elite.

Injury Report
NAMEPOSINJURYSTATUSNAMEPOSINJURYSTATUS
Justin BannanDTBroken Jaw[OUT]No Notable Injuries
Sep 15: Bannan is out with a broken jaw, which he suffered in last week's contest against the Eagles. He is not expected to resume practicing until late next week.
Brady PoppingaLBFractured Toe[OUT]
Sep 13: Poppinga will sit on the sidelines for the second straight game, nursing a fractured toe that he injured in preseason. He has been seen in a walking boot and expects to be back on the field doing basic drills in a few weeks.
Brandon LloydWRHerniated Disk[OUT]
Sep 16: X-Rays on Lloyd's neck returned positive for a Herniated Disk. This is terrible news for the Rams, who will have to face the main stretch of the season without their elite receiver.

Analyst Picks
ANALYSTPICKBREAKDOWN
Terry Bradshaw: Eli Manning did throw four TDs, but he also threw three picks last week, and the Rams are much less likely to turnover the ball with their run heavy gameplan centered around Steven Jackson.
Howie Long: The Giants' defense is well equipped to stop this St. Louis running game. Justin Tuck is as adept at stopping the run as any DE in the game, and Kenny Phillips at full strength is something the Giants haven't had in a long time.
Jimmy Johnson: I agree with Howie. Let's not forget, Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs combined for 172 rushing yards last week--the New York rushing attack is strength, not a weakness.
Michael Strahan: You know I have to go with my boys in this one. Bradford may be St. Louis' QB of the Future, but he's lost his best target in Brandon Lloyd, and he's going up against one of the best signal callers in the league in Eli.
Curt Menefee: Looks like the Giants are the heavy favorite in this one, even though the Rams knocked off the preseason "Dream Team" Philadelphia Eagles last week. This should be an exciting matchup.
