Call to Arms! Minnesota Vikings under new Management!

Introduction

I will say right off that bat, that this is sort of a WIP for the settings and such; this also happens to be my first NFL dynasty and my 2nd dynasty overall. You will see what I mean, with the settings thing, when I release the first game results against the Chargers. As the first season goes along I will be tweaking settings to make for a realistic franchise. So don't complain if some stats seem unrealistic. Just know that I am working constantly at getting the settings good for Season 2. My goal for season 2 is to have fully realistic stats all around.
I am running this franchise under 32 team roster control. This make it easy for me to improve the other teams to make sure every game is competitive. I will make realistic trades when I see that two teams have needs that the other team can fill, and make that trade realistically. Another thing is that I have the edit player feature turned out allowing me to make realistic edits to players on a bi-weekly basis(every other week I will be sure to make sure the top players can boosts and reductions based on their play in the previous weeks) so that teams get advantages if their starters are playing to their potential.
For the sole fact that I have never owned NCAA 12, I cannot use the real draft classes. Therefore I am using original/fake draft classes that Madden has built into the game. Sad I know that after 20 years of the franchise (if I get that far) we won't know a single name, but hey... it is still fun anyway.
I chose the Vikings for this franchise because I didn't want to have to go through the pains of rebuilding a completely terrible team. The Vikings, while still considered sub-par in this years Madden game, have a very solid running back core and a great defense. I'm hoping by the 2nd season when I have all my settings refined and finalized, I will be able to have a solid team to build up to a constant contender.
Okay, enough of the Out-Of-Character blabbing. While this 1st season is meant to be a kind of unrealistic season, I am still going to play the character.

The Story
"The billionaire sports entertainment tycoon Vincent McMahon buys the Minnesota Vikings; Vikings to stay in Minnesota!" Rolls across the television screen during a PTI: Pardon The Interruption episode. Mike Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser discuss this event. "This is a very interesting event I must say. I understand that Vince McMahon is a great business man, but after what happened to the XFL... I wouldn't be happy if I was a Vikings fan or player right now." Tony says as he rubs his head. Wilbon responds quickly, "He turned a semi-successful 'Sports entertainment' company into a multibillion dollar company, he is a GREAT businessman. Not to mention this isn't the same as the XFL. He can't go throwing in all these gimmicky rules like what he did with the XFL. That is what killed it. The gimmicks and the stupid setup. Plus it isn't like he is controller an entire league anymore. This is one team that he has to focus on now. He doesn't need to worry about all the business for 8 or 9 teams. Just one. I think he will handle it perfectly and I think that the Vikings team, fans, and players will benefit greatly." The television suddenly goes dark as the sound of a remote's button click is heard. The camera pans backwards and sees Vince McMahon sitting a lounger chair with a bottle of wine in an ice bucket on a stand table next to his chair. A cell-phone ring sounds throughout the room and he pulls out his phone and answers it. "Yeah?" Vince says in a cockish voice. "Why yes, I would definitely be willing to fly out to ESPN's headquarters for an interview." He says again, as a smile grows across his face. "Alright, I'll be go there right after the game against San Diego on Sunday..... Alright... yeah... bye." Vince slides the phone down and off. He puts it in his pocket and takes a sip from his wine glass. The camera fades to darkness.

Game Notes
The first game of the season for both of these teams. Both teams are looking for a fresh start to this new season. San Diego has high hopes on getting deep into the playoffs this year. This is the kind of game that can prove their dominance if they can beat the Favre-less Vikings. The Vikings with new starter Donavon McNabb and All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson look to shoosh the haters and start this season out with a win against a quality opponent.

Re: Call to Arms! Minnesota Vikings under new Management!

MINNESOTA VIKINGS @ SAN DIEGO CHARGERS

Adrian Peterson, Vikings Defense makes up for offensive mistakes to get win over Chargers.

A game where the score definitely doesn't tell the whole story. The game wasn't as close as the score tells. Despite throwing 3 interceptions, including two on back-to-back drives and one pick-six, McNabb and the Vikings offense was able to get down the field consistently enough to get the win. With a few short minutes left on the clock, Ryan Longwell kicks a field goal to push the Vikings ahead by 3. The Vikings defense is able to hold off Phillip Rivers and forces him to have one of his worst games in his career only throwing for 70 total passing yards.

Re: Call to Arms! Minnesota Vikings under new Management!

Thank you very much. I think I've found my good settings and way before I thought I was going to. I'll have this Vince thing up sometime soon though. Thanks for following.
