Bringing Back Army!! (Ncaa 12)

This is my Dynasty of Army, a School once a formatable opponent, now the school seems to be forgotten, except when the Army-Navy Game rolls around. Starting at the Toughest School to Turn around I accept the Challenge. I'm keeping the Current Staff in Place for the Dyn. I'm not a Flashy Look at my page guy, I'll put Pics in some, but the Dyn will be well written with plenty of Detail. Hope everyone enjoys!!

Re: Bringing Back Army!! (Ncaa 12)

Army Fires Brock and Lands Ellerson!!
After 2 Horrible years with the Current Head Coach Stan Brock, Army pulled the plug on BrockBone and his staff. After a Lengthy Search they turn to Rich Ellerson, who has Family Ties to the Academy. Coming from Cal-Poly where he Rolled up a 56-34 record with 2 Ncaa Div 2 playoff appearances, Rich Ellerson seems to be the One to Hopefully Turn the Academy around back to National Promience.

In his Statement to The Press Ellerson Had this to Say "I grew up with that special connection to Army Football. At that age, watching my big brother captain the Army football team, living on Army posts, it was just the biggest thing in our life. It was the foundation of my football experience, not just my Army football experience, and obviously, football is a big part of my life." Not Only did Rich's Brother play for the Army Team, But his Dad and his Other Older Brother did also. The Brother he mentioned in his statement to the press played at Army from 60-63, Army's Battles were legendary specially Vs Navy and Roger Stauback.

Rich Takes the Job Very Seriously here at the Academy as He went out and Hired his Oc and Dc, Ian Shields and Payam Saadat.

Going Right to Work Rich Knew he had his work cut out for him, but started rebuilding the Army Name. in 09 Army was 5-6 going into the Navy Game and a Win would land Army in a Bowl. But the offense, led by the man of steel Steeleman could only muster 3 points in a 17-3 Loss to the Naval Academy and the 09 season ended at 5-7.

2010- was a special year, Not only would Army be competing for the Commander-in-Chiefs Trophy, But also Play Notre Dame in Yankee Stadium, bringing back Memories of the forgotton years when they battled ND nip and tuck for the National Title. Army would finish the regular season 6-6 with Losses to Af and Navy to eliminate them from the CIC Trophy. But Army got the invite to the Armed Forces Bowl to play SMU. Army won the Game 16-14 to go 7-6 and claim a winning record for the Academy.

In 2 years Ellerson's record is 12-13 with a Bowl win, But so far No wins over ND or AF or Navy. Going into 2011 Ellerson knew he was getting Steeleman Back as his signal caller and defense leader Erzinger.

What will 2011 Bring for the Cadets of Army?? will they Bring Home the CIC's Trophy?? and will the Academy ever get back to National Promience??

Ahh the Days of Yesteryear when Army was in the Hunt for the National Title and Army had the Mr Inside and Outside tandum of Blanchard and Davis, and Claiming 3 National titles in 3 straight years (1944-1946). Battling Notre Dame with everything on the Line. Now enters 2011 Head Coach Rich Ellerson enters his 3rd season and Fresh off of the Bowl Victory over Smu, A.D. Col Sam Johnson rewarded Ellerson with a Steller 3 yr deal to continue as Head Coach of the Cadets. After a very Hard spring and Summer, Coach Ellerson feels this year is still in the rebuilding stage of what Army would like to return to. National Promience.

As Coach Ellerson was getting ready for the Coming Year, Big News Hit out of Big East as the Conference extended an Invite for Army to Join the Conference as Not only would this put Army in a BCS Qualify Conference But also Continue the rivarly with Rutgers. Army-Rutgers isn't as Huge as the Game is with Navy, but its always competetive. A.D. Col Sam Johnson said "This is a Huge Day for the Academy as we continue to try and bring Army Back to where they once where." Coach Ellerson also Stated this to the press " Was I surprised?? Yes I was, Didn't see this Coming, But our Boys are excited for the opportunity to compete on a national stage. Maybe this is what Brings Army Back from the Dark Ages of the 2000's."

Not only Does Army Have to Prepare to meet Better Talent, They Know they have to recruit better in order to compete against the Larger Schools. As July ended the Cadets Released their 2011 Schedule. Season starts Sept 3rd Vs Norther Ill.

1. vs NIU
2. @SDST
3. @Pitt
4. @Louisville
5. @Cincy
6. Vs WV
7. @UConn
8. Vs USF
9. @Air Force*
10.Vs Rutgers
11. Vs Syracuse
12 Vs Navy (in Philly)*

*- represents Commander-In-Chiefs Trophy Gm.

Re: Bringing Back Army!! (Ncaa 12)

Big News Out of Indiana Concerning the Ncaa Div 1a 2011 Season.

Ncaa President Mark Emmert announced at Noon Today that the Ncaa and the Bcs have decided to Not have any Automatic Qualifing Conferences for this Season. Seeing a Trend in Conference Shake Ups the past couple of seasons spurred the Ncaa to meet for several months and came to the decision of taking away all the Automatic Qualifing for the right to better bowl games. Shock and Surprise Came from all around as Many Schools then lobbied for the Ncaa to rethink their decision. Pres Emmert said this to the press " Over the last couple of seasons we've see what has happened to Conferences that want to better themselves by Landing in Bigger Conferences to Not only Get a Better Bowl bid but be in the running for the National Title, There by tearing apart other conferences to meet those standards. We met throughout the summer and concluded that this was the better way to go for right now. We plan on Meeting again next summer to see what the plan for Next Year will be."

So as of Right Now all the Power Conferences of the Acc, Sec, Big 12, Big 10, Big east, Pac-12 all have their qualify tickets revoked, all the Presidents plan on fighting this tooth and nail to see if the qualifing conferences will make a return. This 2011 year in College Football should be very exciting to see who gets the prestigious 1vs2 in the Title Game.

Coach Ellerson had this to Say "Well, nothing Us Coaches can do about it, we still have our schedule to prepare for and that is what we are working on right now." With that Coach Ellerson left to return to practice. What does the 57 yr old Coach have up his sleeve as he prepares for upcoming season?? How will the 1st season in the Big East for Army come out?? Tune in each week on the Armed Forces Network to find out.

Re: Bringing Back Army!! (Ncaa 12)

Welcome to West Point!!

The 2011 Season is in the Air, New Recruits and Classmates report for Roll Call and their 1st Meal together as Classmates, roommates, future friends. And During all of this Coach Ellerson has been hard at work preparing his 2011 Army Black Knight Cadets for Battle in the Big East this year. after a steller spring and summer workouts, Coach Ellerson has Released his 2011 Lineup. The 2 Captains chosen by his peers for Offense and Defense are Fb Jared Hassin 6'3 235 Jr(rs) and Mlb Steven Erzinger 6'1 222 Sr (rs). Course the Qb position is led by Jr Trent Steelman with Sr Max Jenkins behind Him.

2011 Offense
Qb-Steelman Jr(rs), Jenkins Sr(rs) and Parker Hite(fresh)
HB- Brown Jr(rs),Cobbs Jr(rs),Maples Soph(rs)
Fb- Captain Hassin Jr(rs),Collins Jr(rs),McGue Jr(rs)
WR's-Brooks Sr(rs),Barr Sr(rs),Stephens Soph(rs),Allen Jr(rs)
No Te's
Lt- Kelly Sr(rs),McDermott Sr(rs)
Lg- Allen Jr(rs),Pleasants Sr(rs)
C- Wilson Jr(rs),Kime Soph(rs)
Rg- Bailey Sr(rs),Villanti Jr(rs)
Rt- Bisgard Jr(rs),Jebb Jr(rs)

The Offense is Led by Qb Man of Steel Steelman, returning leader from last yr this Qb has done the job needed from his team, runs the Option well and Gets the "Dirty Yards" needed to turn a 2nd or 3rd and 5 to a 1st down. Jenkins will be backing him Up as his the Lighter of the 2 at 195 Lbs, But being a Sr the experience should pay off in case of a injury to Steelman. Brown and Cobbs return to the Backfield to command the running game with sharing the loads with Captain Hassin who lines up in the Fb position. Without a Te in the lineup the Fb's will be sharing that position all yr. Brooks and Barr return to the Wr position in Hopes of Success all yr. They know they will be tested in the Big East with the Talent that awaits them, should be a great test to see how they hold up all season. The Offensive Line is the Strength and they hope to Keep Defense off their Qb all yr. Veteran Group with some having between 3-2 yrs experience. How will they do?? we will find out the 1st game of the yr vs NIU.

2011 Defense
Le- Mackey Jr(rs),Ripley Soph(rs)
Re- Watts Soph(rs),Keller Soph(rs)
Dt- Whitten Jr(rs),Mackey Jr(rs),Zalneraitis Soph(rs)
Lolb- Watts Jr(rs),Prosko Sr(rs),Schaaf Sr(rs)
Mlb-Captain Erzinger Sr(rs),Martin Jr(rs)
Rolb- Trimble Soph(rs),Combs Jr(rs),Luetjen Soph(rs)
Cb- Jackson Jr(rs), Winters Fresh(rs)
Fs- Dickson Soph(rs), Holloway Soph(rs)
Ss- Beloney Soph(rs), Nesbit Soph(rs)
Pk- Carlton Sr(rs)
P- Walk Sr(rs)

The 2011 Defense is Young with experience in the Linebacking Core. The 4-3 Front Line has No Sr's which is good but they are also young and it will be up to them to provide the pressure on the Qb. The Lb Core led by Captain Erzinger hopes to stop the run and disrupt the pass with either knockdowns or sacks. The Corners are young and will gain alot of experience going up Vs what the Big East can throw at them. Also young is the Safety positions as they rely on Youth with No Jr's or Sr's in the 2ndary. and the Punter and Placekicking duties fall on 2 Sr's who are Wrapping up a great Career before embarking on their 5 yr Tour after they Graduate.

All in All, Its going to be a Learning year for the Cadets, There will be Bumps in the Road as it always is when yr Dealing with a Team with no 3-5 star talent on its Roster. Coach Ellerson is Hoping for the best from his young men and we will see How the 2011 Season shapes up at this point.

Season Prediction
3-9 (specially with Army's 1st yr in Big East Competetion)

16 SR's 9 on Off and 7 on Def.

Big East Conference Pre-season Predictions

With the addition of Army to the Big East, it gives the Conference 9 Members. Course early predictions don't mean that the team that is predicted #1 is going to stay there. But for know we have these.

1. West Virginia- WV went through some Turbulance when Former HC Stewart was asked to Step down cause of possibly violating privacy acts when he did a background check of his then OC Holgorsen. In that Dana became the New HC of West Virginia. Then Dana had to find a New Oc, he decided on Gillespie. Now Wv hopes to rebound and have a strong season despite all the termoil.

2. Pitt- The Panthers lost some Talent last yr and they hope to have a strong season cause of it. Hc Graham hopes to rely on the running game to carry the panthers to a Big East Title. Sunseri the qb will need to stay healty if the panthers are gonna contend for the Title.

3. Uconn- The Defending Big East Champs are Hoping to do what many have had a tough time doing and that is repeating as Champs. The Huskies took some Lumps when they Lost their HC and alot of Talent from a yr ago. Now they Hope to Learn from their new Coach and Continue their Success in the Big East.

4. Louisville- New Coach Strong Hopes to Keep the Cardinals in check as he learns from them as they will from Him. Strong is aware of the struggles the past few seasons and he Hopes to Have the Cardinals in contention for the BE Title.

5. Syracuse- Once a Proud program, fell on some hard times, but the light has been shining once again as the Orange hope to play their best to Hopefully see their name on top of the Big East Trophy. They will need to minimize the errors if they are going to.

6. USF- Things have changed in South Florida, But the Drive still remains. The Bulls know they have tough games ahead with Pitt and Wv plus the rest of the conference. Good thing they have a Veteran Leader at Qb to Lead them. Early and Late Success could have the Bulls on Top.

7. Cincy- The Bearcats once on Top have struggled a bit the past seasons under Coach Jones. But with Sr leaders, He hopes the Cats can once again rise to the Top of the Heap.

8. Rutgers- Rutgers have been close but haven't yet had their name on the BE trophy naming them Champs. The Knights hope this yr will be the yr. They will be relying on their running game to steady the course again this yr.

9. Army- 1st yr in Big East, Could mean a tough season, but we know that Coach Ellerson will have his guys ready when the season kicks off in Week 2 Vs NIU. Til then Classes, Drills and Practice.
