Long time reader, first time to seriously try a dynasty.. love NCAA football so I'm hoping I can keep this going! I don't root for Utah State at all, but one of my high school teammates went there and they're a team noone uses, so I figured why not!

WHEELER NAMED NEWEST HEAD COACH

LOGAN, UTAH (AP)- Utah State University introduced Kyle Wheeler as their new head coach Monday, replacing Gary Anderson, who lasted only a year in Logan. "We believe Kyle can lead the Aggies back to prominence, and win us a conference title in the near future. He has great leadership ability and has proved himself coming through the ranks of football, so we have all the trust in the world in him as our guy," Utah State athletic director Scott Barnes said in a press conference at Romney Stadium.

Wheeler, who graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2002, spent the 2004-2009 seasons as an offensive assistant at his alma-mater before spending the 2010 season as the head coach at Division II Mars Hill College in North Carolina. The move to Utah State makes him one of the youngest coaches in Division I sports. "Having been around football for more than a decade, I'm definitely pumped for my first opportunity to lead a program, and this school is right on the cusp of great things," said Wheeler after being introduced. "We're going to build great student-athletes and people first, and out of that will hopefully bring just as great football players."

Utah State, a member of the WAC conference, went 4-8 in 2010 under head coach Gary Anderson, who stepped down to take an offensive coordinator position at Brigham Young University. Their biggest victory came over the aforementioned Cougars, but the Aggies haven't been to a bowl game since the 1997 Humanitarian Bowl.
