Game Notes
ECU comes in struggling completely, but especially on the defensive side of the ball. They have the nation's worst defense, surrendering 449.6 yards per game. They also struggle on offense, even more so than Richmond has, averaging just 301.6 yards per game.

Richmond comes in winners have two straight, surprising ACC foe Maryland last week at home. They will need to take advantage of a soft ECU Pirate defense early to set the tempo and take control of the game. The big question is how will they handle being the favorites in a game for the first time this season.

Game Notes
Gus Malzahn and Bobby Petrino may not see eye to eye, but the talk this week has been brutal. Both of these teams are looking to come out and smash the other one. Arkansas State has the offensive fire power that Richmond lacks, but Richmond has the defensive skill that Arkansas State has lacked this season. Something will have to give. If Richmond can avoid the turnovers, they should have a good chance to come away with their third win of the season.

Really tough loss to ECU, but your defense looked good.

Re: Richmond Spiders: Welcome to the Big Show

Defense really hasn't been a problem...it's been consistency on offense.
