Buffalo Bills (0-1)333716
New York Jets (1-0)777324
Buffalo Bills (0-1):
Ryan Fitzpatrick - 18/37, 302yd, 1TD
Donald Jones - 6/144 Rec, 1TD
Kyle Sheppard - 8 Tk
Ryan Lindell - 3/3 FG

New York Jets (1-0):
Mark Sanchez - 8/14, 66yd, 1TD / 1INT
Shonn Greene - 24/172 Rush
Isaac Redman - 9/103 Rush, 2TD
Aaron Maybin - 5 Tk, 2 Sk
Recap:
Buffalo failed to take advantage of their early possession time by only converting a field goal in each of the opening 3 quarters. During this time the Jets who relied on their ground attack of Greene and Redman, would rack up 3 TDs to stretch out a lead that forced Buffalo to chase the game through the air.

Donald Jones proved to be the 'go-to' receiver for Buffalo and although he caught a TD pass late in the 4th, the Jets managed to seal the game with a FG at the death for the 24-16 opening day win.

Quotes:
Ryan Fitzpatrick (Buffalo) "We couldnt get the job done when it counted, our redzone attempts may look good as we scored but 3 Field Goals means 3 missed touchdowns to me and thats what cost us a win here in New York. Its something we have to improve on if we are to have a chance to compete in the division"

Rex Ryan (New York) "Buffalo came at us hard early on but we showed that our defense can still play at the top of their game. As for our offense, Mark (Sanchez) looked rusty and we have time to improve on that, but we saw that the Bills struggled against the run so pounded it, which gave us both points and clock management opportunities"

Derrick Johnson - 11 Tk, 1 Sk

Buffalo Bills (0-2):
Ryan Fitzpatrick - 26/42, 224yd, 4INT
Fred Jackson - 14/56 Rush
4/13 3rd Down Conversion
6 Turnovers
Recap:
The Chiefs turned up big at the Ralph Wilson Stadium as they shut out a lacklustre Buffalo team, who wound up giving away 6 turnovers including 4 from the arm of fledgling Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Kansas City themselves had a few turnover issues midway through the game but by that time had bought themselves enough insurance as a 31-0 half time lead already signalled blowout to the home fans.

Running back Jamaal Charles came just shy of the NFL rushing record for a game with 245 yards including 2 TDs, whilst the Bills could only dream of such production as they were shutout in front of their home fans 43-0.

Quotes:
Chan Gailey (Buffalo) "Not much I can add to that performance as anything I say will just compound it. We lost our focus, our shape and our gameplan. In the end we talked about pride and a little showed at times, but all we can do is take that lick' and move on"

Romeo Crennel (Kansas City) "We played well, we took onboard how the Jets worked the Bills defense and used Jamaal (Charles) to expose them. Credit to our guys we didnt give up any easy points at the end, but we needed that win to get our season moving in the right direction"
