Alright. Having Mike Wallace leave in free agency leave him #2 for me, and man, he does perform like real life!

Also, if you're going for a Tight End, Mercedes Lewis of the Jags is pretty good for me to.

Re: Rebuilding the Fear - Oakland Raiders M13 CCM

Emmanuel's on Washington now. Down on their depth chart, too. Going to have to watch that.

The Mike Williams I have is the Seattle one - Tampa still has there's.

Interesting, the Patriots put Steven Ridley on the block.

Wish the Redskins would put RG III on the block #wishful_thinking
That's okay, We'll turn Pryor into our version of RG III!

Re: Rebuilding the Fear - Oakland Raiders M13 CCM

On second thought - going to sim preseason.

Forgot how messed up Madden's preseason is - especially now with no UDFAs.

I mean, Ivory at WR? Not rotating the WR right (Criner should be playing), then the CPU get Jones-Drew against backups? WTF?

Will report the injuries and stuff like I did last preseason and the result of the position battles.

Overview

Terrelle Pryor and Denarius Moore look sharp again. Moore had a very strong preseason and is looking to build on last year. Pryor is slowly making progress and is still playing with heart.

The running game continues to be a question mark. NONE of the three HB really did well. McFadden might have done the best, but that isn't saying a lot. Ivory will start, but the team will be on the hunt for a HB from the looks of things. Either now or come draft time.

Rookie RG Cale Welsh was somewhat underwhelming. Perhaps it's a matter of adjusting to the NFL, but he wasn't exciting.

DE Quinterrius Fields is probably going to start, but his low stamina will have Lamarr Houston rotating in. This might not be a bad thing as Houston is hardly a slouch.

DE Matt Shaughnessy, however, looked bad. He was not able to collapse the edge like Seymour did when he was playing RE. With Seymour out, Shaughnessy is going to have to step up.

MLB Jake Olsen is climbing fast. He secured his starting spot at outside linebacker and is taking direct aim at Rolando McClain. "I will be starting mike backer by the end of the year. Watch, " Olsen spoke after a game.

For now, CB Paris Cooper will be the nickle CB over Joselio Hanson. The team is likely to run more zone in the nickle packages to utilize Cooper...but Hanson also favors zone and is a bit better in man...

Rumors

Free agent DT Donata Peko is looking attractive and may be targeted by the Raiders...

Darren McFadden may be a fixture on the trade block, yet the team hasn't given much indication of what they are looking for...speculation is either for a power back of near ability or high draft picks.

On my raiders franchise shaughnessy has 5 sacks in 2 games. It really seems like no two franchises are the same.

Re: Rebuilding the Fear - Oakland Raiders M13 CCM

Quinterrius' Domain
Rookie Defensive End Debuts With Three Sacks
as Offense is Methodical, Win 34-24

The defense and even the pass rush was very streaky. Even Fields, with his dominating day showed that. However, in the end, the defense did enough and the offense was in rhythm for the win in the home opener.

Fields racked up 2 sacks in the first quarter as he came out with a ton of emotion. The whole team did, getting out to a quick 20-0 lead halfway through the second quarter.

Then things hit a lull on both sides of the ball. Brock Osweiler, the Broncos' young QB, did not wilt under the pressure. That pressure started getting lighter as either the Broncos adjusted their protections or the Raiders were just not finding success. He led the Broncos to 17 unanswered points.

But then the Raiders offense got it going again. The run game continued to be iffy so Pryor took things into his own hands, using the short pass to get series started and then get rhythm going. He was able to spread the ball around, something he's not had the luxury of doing, further keeping the coverage off balance.

Still, Denarius Moore got the ball when it counted most. He scored 2 TDs. Marcel Reece took a pass 46 yards for the other of Pryor's touchdowns. Reece was also a target from the TE spot all game, showing a good comfort level with the responsibility.

Ivory scored a rushing TD, but still showed inconsistency. He got the ball 29 times but mustered just 87 yards. McFadden started getting mixed in and started looking like he wanted his starting job back. He only got 4 carries, but looked like the powerful speed back that he is.

Olsen's first day was impressive, too. He picked up 8 tackles and a sack. McClain grabbed 8 tackles as well. For the most part, the 46 defense showed promise as well as the pass defenses in the playbook. For a while, they had Osweiler looking confused as the team was able to mix zone and man coverage with some blitzes.

In all, the various combinations along with the emotional energy, combined for 7 sacks on the day, many of them in the first two quarters.

"We did some good things, and there's some things to work on, but I like our level of play overall, " Coach Lyle spoke.

Notes:
Rookie TE Marcus Harper suffered a concussion during the game, but was cleared to play in this week's contest...Jake Olsen continues to impress scouts...he seems serious about dethroning McClain...McFadden remains on the block, but coach Lyle remains unimpressed by the offers, saying, "They must think we're ******** desperate. Third round picks will NOT get McFadden. Ever." McFadden signing an extension with the team certainly helps bargaining position...

Contract News:
Negotiations have begun with Reece.

Raiders extend HB Darren McFadden for 4 yrs, $15.9 M.
Raiders extend K Sebastian Janikowski for 2 yrs, $9.2 M.
Raiders extend P Shane Lechler for 1 yr, $3.5 M.

Rams extend HB Stephen Jackson for 6 yrs, $48.0 M.
Texans extend LB Brian Cushing for 6 yrs, $48.0 M.
Giants extend DE Justin Tuck, for 5 yrs, $53.0 M.

Scouting News:
Top prospect on the team's board, HB Steven Grant, suffered an ankle injury. The team is trying to get updated information. Should he drop in the scouts' eyes, HB Santez McKenzie will move up the team's draft board...

WR D'Andre Ware is catching notice for his ball skills, but scouts already see he'll need to work on his route running...

G's Rasheem Oliver and Aaryn DePriest are getting some looks for their run blocking ability. Oliver is more well-rounded in his technique, while DePriest is more of a power blocker at the moment...

Looking for HB for the Raiders, try trading for Jamaal Charles.
