Injury Report

The Miami Hurricanes will travel up to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts to take on former Big East rival Boston College Eagles. Miami looks to improve over their 6-6 record last year. Boston College comes into this season after their first sub .500 season sense 1998.

Miami should have a huge advantage on offense as Stephen Morris returns as the starter for this season. He should have a pretty easy time throwing the ball all over the field because Boston College's secondary is very poor. Miami's offensive line should have a big advantage over Boston College's defensive line which should allow Miami to have a big day rushing.

Boston College's biggest hole is at the quarterback position. They will really need their defense to step up big time because they could have a very tough time scoring against Miami's defense. Rolandan Finch will need to have a big day for the Eagles if Boston College can't throw the ball.

Miami is a 5.5 point favorite over the Eagles.

Re: It's All About The U: A Miami Hurricanes Dynasty (NCAA 13)

Hurricanes Lose Heartbreaker in Chestnut Hill

Chestnut Hill, MA-Interceptions killed Miami's chance to win the game as they fall to Boston College 30-27 in the season opener. Stephen Morris was intercepted by Jim Noel with 1 minute to go to seal the victory for BC.

Overall, Stephen Morris was atrocious. He threw for 2 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He threw 3 picks in Boston College territory, including a pick 6 right at the end of the first half. He threw 2 picks in the 4th quarter in Boston College territory when Miami only need a field goal to tie up the game. Miami's running game work pretty well in the 1st half but they really went away from it the 2nd half and that along with the interceptions really hurt Miami. Miami lost their number 2 reciever Allen Hurns in the 4th quarter making a tackle. He broke his collarbone and is out for the rest of the season. Miami's offensive line started out the game playing awful as they allowed Stephen Morris to get sacked 4 times in the 1st quarter. However, they got much better as the game went along. Morris was only sacked 1 other time the rest of the game.

The defense played pretty well for the most part. Most of Boston College's big plays came off of trick plays. One area the defense really need to improve in is the offensive line. Boston College's offensive line combined for 17 pancakes. Miami injured Boston College's starting quarterback in the first quarter. Miami was able to hold the back up to 142 yards passing and they intercepted him one time. It could have been many more times as Miami dropped 3 passes on the day. The defense will need to improve on their rushing defense as they were gashed for 221 yards. The defense did their part but the offense just made too many mistakes to win.

Next week the Miami Hurricanes will travel to Manhattan, Kansas to take on the #11 Kansas State Wildcats. The Boston College Eagles will face Maine.
