The Jets came out with the win this Sunday against the Broncos. Starting MLB C. Thompson was out due to a broken collar bone so rookie A. Shears had to step in. The Jets needed a huge game from HB A. Nelson since QB J. Mapa would be started and they got one as he recorded 2 TDs on 180 rushing yards. FS J. McCoy also had a huge turnover for us as he picked the ball off at the goal line and returned it 100 yards for a Jets touchdown! He showed everyone that he was worth the 6 year deal he got paid this off season. Quinton Coples had two sacks in this game, one of them resulting in injuring the Broncos starting QB K. Ricketts forcing rookie QB J. Myers to play. FB E. Tribble also got the chance to start a head of "The Terminator" John Conner as the coaches felt he could make the transition to Halfback since he has the ability to run and catch the ball and could potentially be the Jets 3rd string HB as they will try to shop FB J. Conner and HB D. Jones this off season as they would love to be able to move in the draft and snag a few players early.
The Jets also resigned CB M. Webb for one year/$800k.

The Jets will be on the road to face the 6-4 Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field.
It was an overtime thriller as the Jets and Steelers had to go into an extra quarter in rainy Pittsburgh. The Jets seemed lost and as if they were going to lose after J. Mapa threw 4 picks including one that was returned for a TD and A. Nelson fumbled the ball twice. Darrelle Revis also got a pick and is now 9th on the All-Time INT list!
The Raider Nation came out with the win over the Jets winning 17-10. It was a tough for both teams but they were just the better team. Rookie MLB A. Shears played very well in this game as he was playing for injuried C. Thompson. Luckily for the Jets, rookie QB A. Starks will be back this week to face the 6-6 Panthers.
