Broncos dominate Lions, win 20-6

In a game at Ford Field that was hyped up to be amazing, it didn't live up to its potential. The game and season for Matthew Stafford began exactly how it did last year: with an interception. Denver proceeded to drive down the field and score on a Montee Ball 1-yd TD run. It didn't get any better for Matthew, as he overthrew Julian Edelman by about 10 yards for his second interception of the day. Denver cashed in again on another 1 yd TD run from Ball to make it 14-0.

Nothing much happened for the 1st half, but a Kickalicious field goal made the score 14-3 at the half.

The Broncos got the ball to start the 2nd half, and they started it quickly as Manning drove Denver down the field. Fourtunately, all the Broncos could muster up was a field goal, making the score 17-3. Detroit still couldn't do anything on offense, as they didn't pass midfield once in the quarter. Denver eventually tacked on another field goal, and by the end of the quarter it was 20-3.

In the 4th quarter, the Lions finally got some offense, but that was short lived as they were halted at the 27 yard line after a bad throw from Stafford on 3rd and 8. Manning was actually intercepted on the next drive, but Stafford gave the ball right back, throwing an interception of his own. Then, on 3rd and 6 for Denver, they ran a naked bootleg, and Peyton Manning actually ran for 9 yards for the 1st down, icing the game. Broncos win, 20-6.
