But it's Rentschler Field, not Stadium. I would know. I saw them lose to Michigan last year.

Haha. I knew that'd be the reaction. UConn has really jumped out at me lately, I really do like the unis and the bad team makes it all the more appealing.

Concussions persuade QB Cochran to retire

Shocking news coming out of UConn fall camp as projected starting QB Casey Cochran has announced his retirement following a string of concussions. He said he felt "it was the right thing to do to protect my future."

Cochran, who started UConn's last 4 games in 2013, was making great strides in camp and was pegged as the QB of the future.

His departure leaves underachieving senior Chandler Whitmer as the current frontrunner to win the starting job. Behind him UConn has true sophomore Tim Boyle and former walk-on Will Rishell. All 3 are pocket passers.

NC State transfer Bryant Shirreffs is ineligible in 2014, but the talented dual threat has lots of potential and could play in 2015.

Coach Bob Diaco and Cochran are working to try to land Cochran a spot on the coaching staff moving forward.

I'll be following but man I am not a UConn fan whatsoever. Being a UMass alum, you can understand why.

Man, I am so close to running a UMass dynasty. Just have patience, I'll do them eventually, I'm sure of it.
