The tale of the Eight Forgotten Sons.....

Packers fall once again to the 49ers....

-Green Bay, Wisconsin. Aaron Rodgers... The Quarterback many would argue to be possibly the greatest to ever play the position. Some would say he's top 5. Others would say he sucks.. But the fact remains, Rodgers alone when it comes to stats, he's arguably one of the greatest to EVER play the game of football. During the 2010 Season, Rodgers would lead the Cheeseheads to a 10-6 record good enough for the #6 Seed in the NFC playoffs. He would also lead the Packers to one of the greatest playoffs run in Franchise history leading the Packers on the road knocking off Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons, and the Division rivals the Chicago Bears and capped it all off with a 3 TD 0 picks performance in Super Bowl 45 for his first Lombardi ring and Super Bowl MvP. Rodgers would also be helped by the Packers Defense which ranked #5 that year. At the start of the 2011 Season, The Packers looked poised to repeat as Super Bowl Champions but even with an explosive offense, the Packers defense who lost a lot of it's core players from a season ago dropped to one of the worst in the league. Despite a 15-1 Season the Packers would lose in the Division Round to the underdogs and eventual Super Bowl Champions... The New York Giants. For the next few seasons, Rodgers would be held down and handicapped by having one of the worst defenses in the NFL which by playoffs would always show and send the Kings of the North back to Green Bay. Many tend to question that as the Kings of the North will Rodgers and Green Bay ever step back up to take back the throne? Or did the King of the North just falter back into the shadows of the NFC?

"FitzMagic" and Bills fall in 2012 to 6-10.

Orchard Park, New York- Ryan Fitzpatrick stepped in in 2012 trying to lead the Buffalo Bills to the Playoffs for the first time since 1999. Fitz Magic as the Bills faithful has dubbed him was good in 2012 throwing 24 Touchdowns in 2012. He just wasn't good enough. Buffalo had high hopes for him as the "savior" that Buffalo needed but when all was said and done, Fitzpatrick would lead Buffalo to another 6-10 season to continue the longest Playoff drought in the NFL. We all know the history of the Buffalo Bills when it comes to Playoffs. The team had 4 straight Super Bowls just to lose all of them. Since then, the Bills have been nothing more than a forgotten franchise buried in the AFC East destined to lose to the likes of Tom Brady and the Patriots year after year. By now it's almost a miracle that Buffalo is still in the NFL considering if it wasn't for the Bills faithful, the team would of packed up to a new home and a guaranteed new name.

Rookie Quarterback Brandon Weeden struggles to lead Cleveland anywhere.

Cleveland, Ohio- The Dawg Pound. Perhaps home to some of the most dedicated fans in all of Professional Sports. The Cleveland Browns have had their struggles but they have had their success at times too. Rarely. The fans of the Cleveland Browns have waited patiently for YEARS for any kind of hopes for a Championship Team considering the Browns haven't won anything since 1964. The Browns last playoff run was in 2002-2003 which ended quickly to a Division Rival in the Steelers with a 36-33 victory that sent the Browns back to the shadowy depths of the AFC North and out of everyone's minds yet again. Although any glimpse of hope from the Browns in 2003 was quickly shattered as the Browns fell to 5-11 and sent the Dawg Pound licking their wounds yet again. The Browns would struggle for the next decade and would be known by many NFL fans around the world as "The place where QB's die/go to die/Careers die/etc"
This would prove to be accurate over the next decade as Quarterbacks like Derek Anderson, Charlie Frye, Brady Quinn, and Colt McCoy would all be drafted or signed by the Browns with hopes of being the Franchise's "Savior". Every Quarterback has failed miserably to get Cleveland to the playoffs or even close to it. In 2012 high hopes for Rookie Brandon Weeden quickly faded as he would miss some time with injuries and the Browns would go 5-11 to no surprise for the Browns faithful. The Browns have been forgotten for half of a century almost by everyone and including some of the Browns faithful themselves.

Carson Palmer did no favors for Oakland going 8-8.

Oakland,California- The Raiders. The Raiders. Let that sink in for a second.
The Raiders. The once dominant force in the NFL, led by coaches like John Madden and John Gruden who brought greatness to the team that would be known as "America's Most Wanted" and the "Silver and Black" or "The Black Hole". After Gruden left in 2002 to Tampa Bay, The Raiders would start their slump into mediocrity. In the Super Bowl against Gruden's new Tampa Bay Bucs, Raiders were sitting ducks thanks to Bill Callahan not changing the playbook and leaving star Quarterback Rich Gannon to throw 5 picks to Tampa in a Super Bowl blowout that sent Oakland home with pissed off expressions. With high hopes entering 2003, Oakland would not only miss playoffs but not have a winning record for years. Raiders would go 4-12 and 5-11 the next year. The once dominant team in the NFL would go on to become one of the biggest jokes in the NFL. Raiders owner Al Davis never helped the situation improve drafting bust after bust in the Draft for years to come. He even drafted possibly the biggest Draft bust in history behind Ryan Leaf in Jamarcus Russell who would do absolutely nothing for the Raiders. Davis would also draft one last speedy QB in hopes of a Franchise QB in Terrelle Pryor who showed little to no potential in his one and only start behind Carson Palmer completing 46% of his passes. Palmer did nothing for Oakland before being traded. But with how bad the Raiders have been, the Raiders Nation still shows up to the run down Colliseum in support of the Black Hole.

The infamous "BUTT FUMBLE" 2012.

East Rutherford, New Jersey- The once "Savior" taken in the 2009 NFL Draft in Mark Sanchez has pretty much fallen off the wagon according to Jets fans. But in his first few years, Sanchez was the "Golden Boy" and the "Savior" when he led the Jets to the playoffs the first 2 years of his career including two straight AFC Championship games. Going into 2011 however, Sanchez would show signs of inaccuracy and slumps. Sanchez the once "Savior" of the Jets would struggle so bad that by Week 17, he would throw 3 picks in the 4th quarter that eliminated the Jets from Playoffs. This would be the first year of failures for the next few years for the once "Underdogs" in the AFC East. The Jets went from beating Indianapolis and New England in back to back playoff games to being eliminated by the Dolphins. The Jets with Sanchez would struggle and eventually fall face first back into the depths of the AFC playoff race. Fans would soon lose hope in the once great Quarterback who picked up the Jets hopes of being contenders. Sanchez would eventually fall into a slump that the Jets fan base was calling for his benching. It appears that the once great underdogs the Jets would just be another forgotten team buried in the AFC.

Blaine Gabbert fails to lead Jags.

Jacksonville, Florida- With high hopes for a Franchise Quarterback and a chance to make playoffs since 2007, the Jaguars selected QB Blaine Gabbert out of MIZZOU, but the high pressure of being a leader in the NFL would hit Gabbert hard in his first few years. Gabbert struggled to lead the Jags anywhere in the NFL with bad decision making and poor play performance. It looked that the Jaguars would once again be a joke in the NFL. One of the youngest Franchises was already facing possibilities of re-locating to a new home. Under Gabbert's performance, the Jags would go 7-25 in 2 seasons. The Jaguars are possibly the worst team in the NFL as terms of being a Franchise. The Jags could very well be heading out of Florida to a new home and the fans of Jax probably don't care at this point considering the team hasn't been good since the 2007 season. For now, the Jaguars are the forgotten team that nobody pays attention to.

Falcons Quarterback Matt Ryan has all the tools at winning a Super Bowl.

Atlanta, Georgia- Atlanta Falcons fans have been waiting patiently for the Lombardi Trophy. Atlanta has all the tools in getting one but fails come January. Many blame the star Quarterback Matt Ryan who is 1-4 in Playoffs entering 2013. In 2010-2011, the Falcons had the #1 Seed in the NFC Playoffs but were upset and blown out by the eventually Super Bowl Winning Champions the Green Bay Packers. in the 2012-2013 Season, the Falcons led by Matt Ryan had the #1 Seed again with a 13-3 record and started off the season 8-0 but were upset in the NFC Championship game by the high power horse San Francisco. Ryan would have 2 turnovers at crucial spots in the game that would eventually send Atlanta back home for the season. Despite all this "success" the "Dirty Birds" have only been to the Super Bowl once where they lost to John Elway and the Denver Broncos. The Falcons have fallen back into mediocrity of the NFC Contenders especially the NFC South where New Orleans and Carolina have buried the Falcons in the standings at times. Fans of the Falcons continue to wait for that "Brass Ring" that to this day, haunts them. It appears that a lot of people have forgotten about the Falcons.

Giants fail to make playoffs after winning Super Bowl 46.

East Rutherford, New Jersey- After just one season of winning yet another Lombardi Trophy, the New York Giants finished 2012 with a 9-7 record but this time it wasn't good enough for a lucky WildCard spot in the NFC Playoffs. Since winning the Super Bowl, Eli Manning and the New York Giants have failed to even put together a winning season. Many choose to blame Head Coach Tom Coughlin's strategy who refuses to change anything for Eli's Offense. A lot of other factors blend in however as no protection, no run game, new coordinators, it appears that the Giants for some unknown reason are in a "Re-building" Stage even right after walking away with the Super Bowl Trophy in 2012. Eli Manning's Giants who will go on to lose again to the Bronco's in the now famous "Manning Bowl" many fans question the Giants seasons to come. Although the Giants are always considered "Underdogs" in Playoffs, the team can't even seem to make playoffs now falling into the shadows of the NFC East buried by Tony Romo's Cowboys or Michael Vick's Eagles. It appears that even after winning the Super Bowl, the New York Giants are gonna need to put together a winning season with a new strategy in 2013 for Eli Manning and company to not be "Forgotten" in the NFC.

Re: The Eight Forgotten Sons....(Madden 25)

The Off-Season notes and news.....

NFL.Com/BuffaloBills/News

Buffalo,NY- Big news in today's NFL league as Bills owner Ralph Wilson has made a deal with Division Rival the New England Patriots that sent the Bills Round 1 2015 Draft Pick to the Pats in exchange for hot stud Quarterback Tim Tebow. Tebow who began his career with the Broncos and led success in that franchise leading the Broncos to the Playoffs before being traded to the Jets to play backup to Mark Sanchez. Entering 2013, Tebow was traded to New England where he had some good success in the camps before being traded to the Bills.

"Tebow's a great Quarterback and it's nothing personal but we just wanted 2 QB's going into this season with our time dedicated to Mallet." Patriots Owner Robert Kraft stated prior to the trade.

"Tebow is exactly what we're looking for in terms of a leader and a Franchise Quarterback. We're excited to have him on our team." Bills Owner Ralph Wilson stated.

It's unsure at this point if Tim Tebow would automatically become the starter and the face of the Franchise, but Tebow is a Bill and he's here to play.

Even with Tebow added to the roster, the Bills spent their Round 1 Draft Pick on Quarterback EJ Manuel out of Florida State. Also having undrafted Rookie Jeff Tuel, it appears Buffalo would hold a QB competition this Pre Season although all fingers seem to be pointing to Tebow to be the starter and help coach the rookies. Manuel might hold potential in the NCAA games but the NFL is a whole new ball game for Quarterbacks.

The Bills also spent their Off-Season bumping up their defense signing Veteran Cornerback Nate Clements to a 1 year/3.55 Million Deal.

Bills signed Veteran MLB Takeo Spikes to a 1 year/3 Million Deal and capped it all off with the highest contract in Veteran Defensive End John Abraham fresh out of Atlanta to a 5 million dollar 1 year contract.

"We're looking to be a Playoff Team here, our fans deserve it, we deserve it, this year starts our new quest in making noise and bringing that brass ring back home to Buffalo." Owner Ralph Wilson stated.

Welcome back to Cleveland!

NFL.com/ClevelandBrowns/News

Cleveland, OH- Major news today as the Cleveland Browns signed WR Braylon Edwards off Free Agency to a 1 year/1.15 mil Deal to help boost the receiving core in Cleveland. Fans may remember EDwards from his rookie year in Cleveland that helped the Browns find some ground in rebuilding the team. Edwards had 25 touchdowns over the 5 years in the Dawg pound.

"I'm excited to be back here in Cleveland. I'm excited on helping lead the team to the playoffs and getting back in the right direction." Edwards stated in an interview on his 1 year contract.

"Edwards has the speed and the hands we need on our receivers core that will help gain our offense some edge this year." Browns first year Head Coach Rob Chudzinski said on the signing,

Edwards signing was the only signing that the Browns have made from the Free Agency pool entering 2013. The Browns would have a solid Draft class taking players like Mingo and McFadden to help the defense.

The main situation that the Browns Organization is gonna be dealing with is the Quarterback situation with Brandon Weeden, Brian Hoyer, and Jason Campbell battling it out for the starting job.

"Honestly the Quarterbacks mess is the biggest problem we have right now." Head Coach Chudzinski said on the mess. "At this moment approaching camp and the Pre-Season I do not have a set starter in mind."

The Browns still have a ways to go in 2013 if they even want to think about a playoff spot.

Jets Draft Quarterback Geno Smith in the 2nd Round.

NFL.com/NewYorkJets/News

East Rutherford, New Jersey- Jets almost giving up hope in the once "Savior" of Mark Sanchez wasted no time in drafting someone they saw who could potentially lead the broken train back into January Football. With the 2nd Round pick they selected West Virginia's Geno Smith as the possible "Franchise" Quarterback that Sanchez once was.

"Geno will not be starting. I've made that decision already. We want to take our time in preparing Smith to be the possible Franchise Quarterback. He will sit behind and work with Sanchez in learning the Jets Playbook. This also gives Sanchez another chance in proving to this organization that he is the guy for this team. Right now his chances are not good." Jets Coach Ryan stated after drafting Smith.

The New York Jets also didn't make anymore Free Agency signings but stuck to the 2013 NFL Draft where they picked up some great players.

They selected Running Back Chris Ivory (After giving up Revis to Tampa Bay), Defensive Back Dee Milliner, Defensive Tackle Sheldon Richardson among a few others.

The Jets are looking to be the powerhouse underdog in the AFC East entering 2013.

Quarterback Chad Henne...

NFL.com/JacksonVilleJaguars/News

Jacksonville, FL- The 2012 Jaguars were the biggest joke in the NFL. Maybe even in all of sports. The Jaguars were 2-14, good enough for the #2 overall pick in the 2013 Draft who they selected Luke Joeckel for the line. The Quarterbacks did absolutely nothing to help the situation out at all. Quarterbacks Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne (Pictured above) who were both brought in with high hopes of being the "Savior" struggled miserably with Gabbert being injured and being known as yet another bust in the NFL, Henne struggled going 6 Games where he threw 11 TD's to 11 Picks and a very low Passer Rating of 72.2. Tensions rose higher as the Jaguars faithful didn't even bother to attend the last few games although a lot of people showed up, a lot of people didn't.
The Jaguars who are just buried in the AFC South behind greatness like the Colts with Andrew Luck and the Texans who have shown they have potential to clinch a Playoff spot. The Jaguars have not had a winning season since 2007 and in 2013, Owner Shad Khan is on the verge of moving his doomed franchise to a new home in the NFL.

"If it wasn't for our great fans, we'd of left years ago." Shad Khan stated about this thoughts of his current team.

Jaguars have also announced that with the signing of undrafted rookie, Jordan Rodgers (The younger brother of Aaron) the Jags have a slim of hope in winning games as a lot of pressure will fall on the younger Rodgers shoulders this season. The Jaguars have also re-signed Chad Henne to a 1 year/1.45 mil Deal to possibly backup Rodgers.

"I'm not here just cause of my name. I'm here to show the great fans of Jacksonville that we know you guys care about us and we'll do our best to turn things around." New Quarterback Jordan Rodgers stated while signing his contract.

It's also being reported that Jordan Rodgers spent the off-season training with his older brother in football mechanics.

Rodgers ain't coming to Jacksonville alone however as the Jags dipped into Free Agency a lot signing two Wideouts in Brandon Lloyd for a 1 year/1.6 mil) and Brandon Banks to a 1 year/680k Deals along with veteran Tight End Dallas Clark to a 1 year/1.3 mil deal.

JUST FLYNN, BABY!

NFL.com/OaklandRaiders/NEWS

Oakland, CA- After the departure of Carson Palmer in the off-season, all eyes were on unproven and struggling Terrelle Pryor who showed little to no potential or leadership in his start last season where he only competed a very bad 46% in his passes. Entering this off-season, all eyes looked to be on Pryor as the new face of the Raiders Nation. Many had doubts including the Front Office and Mark Davis himself who discredited Pryor's performance. You may of remember Al Davis's "Just Win Baby!" mentality from years ago as he hopelessly drafted any QB he could get his hands on in the Draft. These included, JaMarcus Russel and Terrelle Pryor.
Mark Davis knew it's time for a change as he saw potential in backup Quarterback Matt Flynn from Green Bay and Seattle where he saw little to no playing time plus having the advantage of learning the position of Quarterback from Aaron Rodgers. Davis traded two Draft picks to obtain Matt Flynn as the newly appointed Franchise Quarterback for the Silver and Black. From the "Just WIN, Baby!" attitude to the now trending mentality with hopes of being the savior himself "Just FLYNN!,Baby!"

The Raiders are looking to rebuild their once storied Franchise as Mark Davis have brought in Wide Receivers Johnny Knox and Jabar Gaffney to 1 year/680 and 910k Deals to give his newly aquirred Quarterback some weapons.

A Legend is coming home.

Big news today as the Raiders will welcome Charles Woodson back to the Silver and Black. Davis is really pulling some strings in rebuilding the Raiders for 2013. In helping with his secondary he also signed Cornerback Chris Carr to a 1 year/810k Deal to help with the struggling defense.

The Raiders have also announced that with the aging Oakland Coliseum and very low performances, the Raiders will also be looking to move either to a new Stadium that will be built or move to a new city altogether, The Raider Nation is so big and so strong that renaming the team would be a slap in the face to the fans.

The Falcons look to RISE UP in 2013.

NFL.com/AtlantaFalcons/NEWS

Atlanta, GA- Big news coming out of Atlanta this morning with the 2013 season approaching us. The Atlanta Falcons coming off a #1 Seeded NFC Playoffs year which they hosted the NFC Championship Game fell to the San Francisco 49ers who went on to lose the Super Bowl. The Falcons have high hopes entering 2013 with Franchise Quarterback Matt Ryan stoked about the upcoming season. The Falcons who look to not be over looked this year have signed Veteran Wide out Randy Moss to a 1 year/1,70Mil Contract to help with aging Tight End Tony Gonzalez who is unsure or not about retiring this year. They also signed Linebacker Nick Barnett to a 1 year/2.10 mil Contract and Right End Auston English to a 1 year/680k Deal to help fill the void on Defense.

The Falcons look to be RISING UP in 2013 and look poised to once again take the NFC South come January having a decent 2013 Draft going defensively to help out for the upcoming season.

Randy Moss was available to answer some questions about his new home in the NFL.

"The Falcons have heart. They have a lot of it. I'm excited to be here in Atlanta working with Ryan, White, and Jones on the Offense. A lot of potential and talent here and I'm excited to be apart it."

"Randy Moss will do wonders for us on offense helping us out." Quarterback Matt Ryan said about his new teammate.

Packers select Eddie Lacy in the Draft.

NFL.com/GreenBayPackers/NEWS

Green Bay,WI- After an 11-5 Season and another early exit from the Playoffs thanks to the powerhouse San Francisco 49ers, the Green Bay Packers have made a lot of changes coming into the 2013 season sending backup Quarterback Graham Harrell to the 49ers for QB Colt McCoy and a Round 1 2015 Draft Pick. McCoy showed up with a new jersey # thanks to Mason Crosby having #2. The Packers have also released QB BJ Coleman in setting on entering 2013 with only 2 Quarterbacks.
The Packers who have fallen victim to the NFC Contenders thanks to Defensive Coordinator's Dom Capers playcalls and strategies, the Packers look to rebound in 2013 with some help on both sides of the ball. The Packers look to rebuild their run game drafting Eddie Lacy out of BAMA and Johnathan Franklin out of UCLA to help with the run game. Rodgers and the Packers are looking to get back to the Super Bowl but have a ways to go on the defensive side of the ball. The Packers defense have been ranked almost dead last since 2010.

The Packers look to rebound on defense drafting players like Datone Jones, Micah Hyde, and Sam Barrington for the 2013 Season. Capers will have to deal with the struggles of one of the league's worst defenses entering 2013.

Giants look to bounce back in 2013...

NFL.com/NewYorkGiants/NEWS

East Rutherford, NJ- Two years ago the New York Giants were Super Bowl Champions. Entering last season they didn't even make playoffs going 9-7 and not even clinching a Wild Card spot. Entering 2013, Head Coach Tom Coughlin's strategy is simple. Simple enough that it hasn't changed since the Giants FIRST won the Super Bowl with Eli Manning. The Giants went from the "Under dogs" in the NFC East to the shadows of being buried by the Cowboys and Eagles in just one year. Now the Giants look to bounce back and step up to grab that "Brass Ring" yet again but they will have a hurdle in 2013 as the Giants are the team that everyone seems to have forgotten about all over again.
The Giants draft went solid drafting QB Ryan Nassib in hopes of a replacement once Eli is done. They also drafted defensively to help in hopes of keeping Eli on the field. The Giants will also have to deal with Head Coach Tom Coughlin who looks to once again bring back that Lombardi Trophy. Time will tell if Coughlin and Eli can get on the same page after a disappointing 2012 Season.
