Week 11: Vs Vanderbilt
We jumped all over Derek Mason’s Commodores with 28 points in the 1st quarter, and never looked back. They made adjustments and help us to 12 points the rest of the way, but the damage had already been done, 40-16, FL. Franks played a clean game, going 18/32, 197 yds and 3td. No turnovers !!
Record: 6-2

Week 12: @ South Carolina
They Gamecocks jumped ahead 23-3 late in the 2nd quarter, with Jake Bentley absolutely having his way with my defense. It was 30-10 late in the 3rd quarter, things were looking bleak, until senior DB Joseph Putu took a pick to the house. We went on to take the lead late in the 4th, 34-30. 4th down and 21, 17 seconds left, they’re at about the 50 yd line. I had my prevent defense on with three men deep. Somehow, Deebo Samuel catches the ball over Duke Dawson, giving them the 37-34 win as time expires. Stunned. Upset in Carolina. Down goes Florida. They now have to wait and see how the SEC looks after failing to clinch with a win.
Record: 6-3
SEC Update: So we’re still leading in the East, and can clinch with a win over 3Auburn. Assuming we lose, and Georgia wins (plays Kentucky), we would end up not winning the East. Scenarios:
Florida win = clinch
Georgia Loss = clinch
Florida loss + Georgia win = Georgia wins East.

Week 13: Vs 3Auburn
DOWN GO THE TIGERS! In an immensely important game, the 25Gators were able to upset the 10-0 Tigers 31-13, allowing them to clinch the SEC East! We were aggressive from the opening kickoff, and our defense was outstanding all throughout. Next Week is against rival FSU, then the SEC Championship.

Week 14: Vs 21Florida State
I came out firing, scoring 28 points in the 1st quarter, 14 on offense and 14 on a punt and kick return touchdown (first kick or punt td all season). It was 38-21 at the half. We were a lot less active on offense in the second half, scoring just 10 points and throwing two picks. Ultimately we held on and won 48-36. Finally beat FSU.
Record: 8-3
Next Week: BYE

Conference Championship Week
Playing 3Alabama
BAMA EDGES FLORIDA IN SEC CHAMP

It was 21-3 heading into the 4th quarter, so I started making very aggressive throws, trying to make something happen. It worked. We scored twice, narrowing it to 21-14, and we got the ball back with 27 seconds remaining. We managed to get in Hail Mary range, but failed to complete it, ending the game. The better team won in my opinion. For the 3rd straight year (twice under McElwain), the Gators have lost to Bama in the SEC Championship game.
Record: 8-4
Other Conference Championships:
CUSA: So. Miss beat West. Kentucky
American: Memphis beat UCF
MWC: Colorado St beat Hawaii
PAC 12: Washington beat UCLA
ACC: Clemson beat V. Tech
Big 10: Ohio St beat Northwestern
Big 12: Oklahoma Won
MAC: West Michigan beat Miami Ohio

3Bama must now wait and see whether or not they get in the National Championship, needing either 1Ohio St or 2Clemson to lose their conference championship.

They finished 12-1, with their only loss coming against a 9-3 Missouri team in Week 13.

Coach Guy on his teams performance in the Championship game:
“I’m extremely proud of them for fighting. They were gritty and resilient. At the end of the day, Bama is elite. All we can do is build on what we’ve accomplished this season, carry it over to our bowl game, and into next season.”

In this game, TCU hung around the whole time, but I was able to get the job done, winning 34-24. Breaking News: Florida WR Antonio Callaway has been arrested and charged with felony fraud. He has been dismissed from the program. This is seemingly his last strike. Career over for this star receiver.
RB Jordan Scarlett was charged with a lesser fraud charge, and has chosen to transfer to Florida International.
LB James Houston has been charged and is choosing to stay at UF.
DE Kevonis Davis has chosen to stay as well. DE Jordan Smith has been arrested along with Callaway, and has been dismissed from the program also.
