On the comment side of things, I love to see the UAB dynasty. I am excited to see where this goes and what you can do with the program.
Thank you kind sir! I appreciate your comments and I will make sure to take them into consideration during my next updates!!!

As for everyone else, I had some internet issues and couldn't upload for the last couple days. I was too addicted to not play any games so i'm currently many weeks ahead. Going to spend the rest of tonight updating you guys on the chise and around the league updates around week 6.

BIRMINGHAM -

While UAB was able to jump out to a 14-2 first quarter lead, it wasn't enough as the Tigers clawed and fought their way to a rivalry win. The Blazers took a 17-15 lead into the 4th quarter mainly thanks to the arm of Freshman QB Tyler Johnston who finished with 296 yards and a score and showed some chemistry with Junior WR Xavier Ubosi. Even in the 4th quarter the Blazers had a chance to seal the game by taking a 27-23 lead with only 1:15 left on the clock. With almost half the amount of time of a two minute drill left, Senior QB Riley Ferguson a community college transfer from Coffeyville Community College put on his finest Aaron Rodgers imitation. Ferguson was able to lead his team into the red zone in less than a minute which set up a four yard touchdown run by the Tigers quarterback. While Freshman Tyler Johnston was a bright-spot for the Blazers they lacked production in the run department from Junior James Noble III, who finished with only 72 yards. Senior Linebacker Shaq Jones held it down on defense finishing with 8 tackles and 2 sacks.

The Blazers suffer their first loss of the season on the road in Memphis to fall to 2-1. Things don't get much brighter next week as your Green & Gold travel to Tuscaloosa for a road game against the #6 Alabama Crimson Tide (1-1).

BIRMINGHAM -

Not much to say here as the sixth ranked Alabama Crimson Tide absolutely hammer the UAB Blazers who fall to (2-1) on the season. For Alabama, Junior RB Bo Scarbrough who stands 6 feet 2 inches and 235 pounds ran like a wild horse through the fightless Blazers defense. Scarbrough finished with 216 yards on 14 carries and 4 touchdowns. UAB shuffled through all three quarterbacks, FR Tyler Johnston, JR AJ Erderly and SR Michael Turner combined for a 17/29 passing 279 yards, 1 score and 1 pick. All three quarterbacks we're forced to the sideline at least once due to the physicality of the game. RB James Noble III finished for over 100 yards and a TD for the 3rd game of the young season, while Junior WR Xavier Ubosi out of Woodland Hills, CA went over 100 yards receiving for the first time of his career.

UAB(2-1) hopes to rebound next week as they head home to face the North Texas Mean Green(0-3) as they try to defend homefield for the next two weeks before traveling to face the #7 Auburn Tigers.

Re: Return of the UAB Blazers [NCAA Football 14]

You're braver then me. I know my Warhawks would get killed by a team of Bama's caliber (although we did beat a then #7 OU week 1 yr 1)....but that was a fluke.

That's why i keep the schedule that is given to me by the computer haha. Tough losses though. I like the look of your write ups. Did you make the banner or is it a random from the interwebs?

I really do like the tables but I dont use them because I mostly view the forums in tapatalk and they dont show up. Good luck against the Mean Green!....or if you've already played it....hope you won!

Haha well I plan on playing all the Alabama schools each year until I can beat all 4 of them. I found the banner on the interwebs.

But thank you, I really appreciate the comments!

BIRMINGHAM -

Move over history books, cause there is a new man in town tied for first place for most sacks in a NCAA game. Sophomore Defensive Lineman Quindarious Thagard who transfered from Itwanda Community College back in 2015 had himself a game for the ages. While Coach "Cheese" Harbison was able to call a great game defensively for his secondary to be successful, it was Thagard who found himself a one man recking crew. The focus was on the passing game and neutralizing North Texas QB Mason Fine from having a great game in the air. Thagard had other plans as he found himself getting the the QB a whopping 9 times while registering 6 sacks and a strip sack that set up a TD by Running Back James Noble III. Thagard was an unstoppable force who came into the game with zero sacks on the season. When spoke to after the game Thagard described it as a "Gift from god and a miracle that he is even given the chance to play at this level."

UAB(3-2) will look forward to a meeting with the Florida Atlantic Owls next weekend as Lane Kiffin brings his boys to town. Coach Strawberry and Kiffin have somewhat of a history after a recent 'Twitter War' over a couple of top prospects thinking of giving their talents to a Conference USA team. With that said, we hope to see you out there and LETS GO GREEN AND GOLD!

I control the safety usually and never the lineman so this was a huge shock to me. I was playing great man coverage and kept getting sacks but I didn't figure it was him. After every sack if kept updating his stats on the screen and it went 1..2...3...4........5..........6 sacks and I started to think I glitched the game lol.
