Texans fired O'Brien, hire Leonard Cooper as new head coach

The Houston Texans fired head coach Bill O'Brien after four seasons with the franchise. O'Brien, who went 31-33 (including a 4-12 record in 2017) during his stint in Houston, went to the playoffs twice but only win a postseason game in four years.

The former WKU Leonard Cooper (a strong, defensive-minded HC) will be the new head coach, and he's expected to be announced in the next few hours.

Texans sign 3 players to reserve/future contracts

The Houston Texans began their offseason by signing the entire practice squad and three new players to reserve/future contracts.

Former Texas A&M right guard Jarvis Harrison (70), outside linebacker Curt Maggitt (67), and defensive tackle Chris Mayes (67) all agreed to deals on Friday.
