Re: Blazing a Trail - Coaching Legacy of Tyler McCray (NCAA 14)
I'm working on the write up for the recruiting class, going to take me a little longer because I was trying to get the dynasty editor to work so I could edit recruit names, but it kept messing up so I'm going to have to do it manually once they came in.
That graphic is great, not of my design though, before I get too much credit for it! Haha.

Michigan celebrates the top class in this season's recruiting trail, beating out their hated rivals of Ohio State for the title. This is capitalized by the fact that they also signed the top halfbackin the land, Brian Watson out of Flandreau, South Dakota. Watson's comparisons have been drawn to Leonard Fournette with his punishing running.
Kyle Smith (QB #1) out of Jackson Alabama ends his recruitment with a darkhorse selection. Troy had been the favorites followed by the Miami Hurricanes making a late run at the quarterback, but it is the Ole Miss Running Rebels that secure the top quarterback in the nation.
Northwestern secures one of it's best recruiting classes in recent years with two elite commits. Marcus Johnson (ATH #1) of Gelndora, California has chosen to call Evanston home. Additionally they would land Sean Ryan (QB #2), their class ranks #35 in the nation.
Headlined by 4* wide receiver Marcus Gant from Ypsilanti, Michigan, The Central Michigan Chippewas finish with the 45th ranked recruiting class in the nation, leading all midmajors.

UTEP finishes their 2017-18 recruiting season on a positive note, securing the best class in the Sunbelt, and the 91st class in the entire nation. The Miners will see a big wave of help coming in, especially on the offensive line where their biggest losses were in terms of departing seniors. None look to be an impact starter in their freshman year, but down the road, they could be fighting for starting time.
Muhsin Power provides the Miners with a big play threat on offense, the speedy wideout stands at 6'3 and was among the fastest in his class. He could push for playing time his freshman year if McCray doesn't have him redshirt, and if he does, he may make a huge impact from day one. He has big boom or bust potential.
Watch for Matt Farrior to start somewhere in his first year in El Paso. The Junior College prospect is a stud, and it'd be really unlikely to see him take a redshirt year, he is extremely talented at multiple positions, having played quarterback and safety in high school, but built like a linebacker, expect Tyler McCray to find him a spot to play on, and expect him to make his impact felt.
Re: Blazing a Trail - Coaching Legacy of Tyler McCray (NCAA 14)
UL-Monroe Warhawks HC: Matt Viator (6-18) LY: (2-10)(1-7) The Warhawks were the worst team last year in the Sunbelt, but the year off seems to be very kind for them. They bring out one of the better rounded squads in the lead, consisently solid across the board and a fearsome offense featuring the top wideout in the conference (and among the best in the nation) in Marcus Green. The Warhawks should improve, and their offense should provide fireworks, enough to sneak them into bowl eligibility? That remains to be seen.

UTSA Road Runners HC: Frank Wilson (12-14) LY: (6-7)(4-4) The Road Runners shocked some by climbing up into bowl eligibility last year, taking the final spot that the Sunbelt had for a bowl position. They fought the Northwestern Wildcats admirably before succumbing in a 28-35 defeat to the B1G foe. This year, they start true freshman Matt Scott at quarterback and very well may be a better team this time around. Jalen Rhodes is among the elite in the conference at his position and Josiah Tauaefa is a force on the defense end, and he is only going to get better!

Tulane Green Wave HC: Willie Fritz (32-18) (10-3)(5-3)
Fritz coached the Green Wave to a brief appearance in the top 25 last season and capped off the season with a bowl victory over the Akron Zips. The top rush offense in the Sunbelt returns Jonathan Banks under center and Corey Dauphine is a huge talent. Terren Encalade remains a threat in the passing attack for the Green Wave. The weak point of this team is the front 7, the Wave's offense is among the best in the Sunbelt, but their defense needs a lot of work. On the plus side, their secondary should be stout.

Troy Trojans HC: Neal Brown (19-18) (5-7)(4-4)
Troy is hoping to rebound from a disappointing campaign last year. Expected to be one of the top teams last season, they bring back a strong core. On offense the big question is can Kaleb Barker grow into a talented starting quarterback? He struggled in spring practices and Troy is definitely feeling missing out on their 5* Quarterback prospect. The defense will carry this team led by cornerback Blace Brown, the senior will hunt the secondary for the Trojans.

Texas State Bobcats HC: Everett Withers (5-19) (3-9)(3-5)
The Bobcats come into the 2018 campaign led on offense by senior duo Mason Hays and Tyler Watts. They struggled last year and finished with a poor record. Defensively, Bran London II is a NFL talent, and where the team goes, he will go. Kieston Roach gets the starting nod as a freshman, as this veteran team looks to rebound.
Re: Blazing a Trail - Coaching Legacy of Tyler McCray (NCAA 14)
I like the Sun Belt breakdown. Man, ULM has a SERIOUS threat at wide receiver, if it wasn't for his short stature I'd say he's a first rounder. Should make the game against them tough. UTSA is also fairly well rounded, except for QB of course. It should be a good year.
Re: Blazing a Trail - Coaching Legacy of Tyler McCray (NCAA 14)
South Alabama Jaguars HC: Greg Schiano (68-67) LY: (9-3)(7-1) The Jaguars shocked the Sunbelt by cruising to the top thanks to a near perfect run through conference play last season. In defense of their title, this team boasts a solid all around squad with key performers at critical points. Cole Garvin will lead his squad again, but lacks a standout target this year. Defensively Jalen Thompson is a stud at corner, and will look to lock down opposing teams #1 wide receivers. Additionally, you cannot skip the fact that the Jaguars went out and hired Greg Schiano, the Buckeyes coordinator is looking to redeem his career after several missteps, and he is stepping into one of the favorites in the conference.

New Mexico State Aggies HC: Doug Martin (44-98) LY: (5-7)(4-4)
A late run lat season might've saved Doug Martin's job, but he will definitely feel the flames this season. Simply put this is an incredibly average team at best. Losing Larry Rose who was a big part of the victories they got last season is a huge loss. Christian Gibson isn't nearly as good of a back, and this offensive line won't be able to make big holes this season. Defensively Terrill Hanks is a monster at outside linebacker, but this defense isn't very strong or deep, and they should fall to the bottom of the Sunbelt this season.

Georgia State Panthers HC: Shawn Elliott (5-13) LY: (4-8)(3-5)
Georgia State had a very up and down season last year, and that trend can be expected to continue. This is a difficult team to put a finger on because Penny Hart is one of the best the Sunbelt has to offer, but the big question is if Aaron Winchester can feed him the ball, additionally Ari Werts is still a threat in the passing attack, but this defense has a lot of holes and the rest of the offense doesn't have many playmakers. This could be the end of Elliott's tenure in Atlanta.

Arkansas State Redwolves HC: Mike Bloomgren (0-0) LY: (4-8)(3-5) The past season for the Redwolves was an absolute trainwreck of a season. They simply weren't a very good team despite being projected as one of if not the best team in preseason projections. This year, the Wolves are hungry and welcome new headcoach Mike Bloomgren to the fold. This Red Wolves squad is dangerous, and could compete for a conference title in a larger mid-major conference. The big caveat is if they can play to their potential. Justin Clifton defensively is a NFL talent, and the offense is just incredibly with a deep wide receiving corp that is undoubtedly the envy of the Sunbelt.

Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns HC: Bill Bedenbaugh (0-0) LY: (7-5)(6-2)
Louisiana hung on strong until the very end for the Sunbelt title last year, falling at the end of the season and losing out. This year, this team has improved in some ways and regressed in others. Their strengths are.. very strong, and this team will live or die by its offense, but it's defense could surprise a few teams as well. Even so, they are patchy and it's hard to call them favorites, or even in the top two or three teams for certain. Expect a minor regression, but this team has one of the higher spreads between what they can and can't do.
