The votes are in and we will be using the Detroit Lions as our team!





I would like to see some more votes before I end the polls in the future but I want to speed this up a little - hopefully more people will start following. Before we get to the fantasy draft, here is some info about the team that might be important to know.

The Lions coach is Ron Marinelli

-runs a 4-3 defense and a balanced offense (Lion's playbooks)
-not a very aggressive coach
-he strongly favors the defensive side of the ball
-91 defense rating and a 61 offense
-splits carries 50/50 between the 1st and 2nd halfback
(This is important to know, make sure we have a good backup HB)


For the fantasy draft, I'll be making a poll for the first 22 picks (enough to choose each starter on offense and defense). The rest will be simulated.

I voted Champ. When I used to do fantasy I would usually get a QB 2nd-3rd round. A strong set of corners is super important and allows you to do more defensively.

I would also usually snag a good receiver fairly early for a primary target, then get the rest in the middle rounds.

Overall focus on defense, given your coach. I’d say maybe RB’s back to back around 15-20 or so. It all really depends how fast they get snatched. If you snag them back to back it should be a fairly even set between RB1-RB2, which is key given how he coaches

I said the DT because I'm assuming the number in parenthesis is age, and have a 22 year old at 97 overall means you could have him for nearly a decade and build around him. When I do a fantasy draft, age is one of the biggest factors for my picks. If a guy is 1 or 2 points lower, but 5 years younger, I will take him because of the long term

To be fair, Brees provides both as an option lol. Remember it's M08, he's only 28 years old.
