Re: Legendary - The Career of Porter Davis

interesting note: USF and UCF both had injuries to their CB3/RET and have subbed in much better options at RET. Ardarius Stewart almost scored on a KR last game, hopefully we're better against King.

Re: Legendary - The Career of Porter Davis

McCrary vs. McAlary, great QB name matchup haha. Even with their record, should be an easy win for you I think as UCF is like 4 possessions away from being 1-5, not 5-1.

Game Report
Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns @ Central Florida Golden Knights

Saturday October 21st 1:00PM
Bright House Networks Stadium – Orlando, Florida

35 - 17

ROBINETTE LOOKS TOWARD A SIDELINE CAMERA FOLLOWING HIS SECOND RUSHING TOUCHDOWN

Louisiana overcame a trio of turnovers along with the loss of QB Jordan McAlary to secure a 35-17 win over UCF in Florida.

McAlary threw a pair of first half picks and left the game with an undisclosed injury midway through the second quarter, turning things over to backup D'Eriq Robinette, who carried the Cajuns offense with 153 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns while also throwing for 85 yards and two scores on eight of nine passing.

Defensively, the Cajuns held UCF to just 209 total yards and recorded seven sacks, including five by senior defensive end Courtney Miggins. The Knights also dealt with QB injuries, with all three playing in the game.

Robinette scored the first points of the game, a 49 yard touchdown run from a wildcat formation, midway through the first quarter.

Robinette's second rushing score came in the second quarter from 24 yards out.

A Hancock to King TD pass midway through the third quarter game UCF a 17-14 lead by Louisiana scored 21 unanswered points to close out the game.

"Just got to be ready to go when you get your number called." said Robinette when asked about his performance.

"D'Eriq brings a different aspect to the offense when he's under center. He's an x factor guy and he bailed us out today." Coach Porter Davis said after the game.

McAlary's status is still unknown and will be updated early next week.

(Shorter write up due to time constraints.)
