Re: Anyone from Europe ordered the game? (Traditional thread)
I know this is ludicrous but I'm seriously considering going and getting a new slim one - especially if this isn't fixed today/tomorrow.
They can't recall everyone's PS3 can they? Sony have a major headache here...some posts are saying it's a problem with the internal kernal where the clock sits - and it's read only - so if that's the case then it's a real major issue.
Hopefully a firmware release will fix...but they're running out of time....Dedicated member of the CPU v CPU worldwide brethren.Comment

I can safely say the guys holding out hope in the states, hoping if they wait a day the error will correct itself with the internal clock ... It won't.
Being in Australia and +10gmt ... My PS3 went from 31/12/1999 to 1/1/2000, not 1/3/2010 like they are hoping it will ...
Looks like the problem will take a while for sony to fix ... I'm pretty sure NHL10 has trophies, and my system plays that game ok. That debunks the myth that games relying on trophies don't work.
Seems like whatever the issue, it's complex and multi-layered.Comment

I'm pretty positive SOny will deliver a work around fix ... Even if all of our times and dates are incorrect, they'll deliver something that'll allow us to keep playing games and getting online.Comment

I just thought, if it's not a mechanical fault could we trade the fat ones in for new ones? Taking a couple of games in would surely get the price down to around £100 wouldn't it?Supporting Leeds United, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Lions and the Colorado Avalanche!

Woody - have you had your Sky HD installed yet?
I've decided that when the game does arrive I'm going to give it a go in the PS3 - see what happens...if it works great, if not, I'll have to consider my slim options tomorrow - got to give Sony some time today to sort out a fix I suppose - or at least give us an update.Dedicated member of the CPU v CPU worldwide brethren.Comment

All might not be lost. My PS3 has the bug and MLB 09 wont load. However, DHL just delivered my copy of 10. It booted up OK and is installing the game data at the momentPSN - devilrays. US - RaysRepublicComment
