Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I can't fault SCEA for the oversight on things like the lighting in and around the stadiums for this year. 9 months to build a whole new game on a new system is quite ambitious, especially when making two other versions at the same time. hopefully next year will be different.Comment

That I don't know, perhaps the watermark of the logo is in it when you view replays? but once they get the lighting and the colors all bright and vibrant this game will be incredibleComment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I wonder how many people the studio has to work on stadiums, uniforms, etc. just as a curiosity. In my job, I complete a high level analysis for our company's top 40 borrowers. I know a little about all of them but not that much in depth about any of them. There's a sales person assigned to each one that knows everything about their borrower and nothing about the rest.
To make efficient use of their resources, I'd imagine that's how their studio works (I know nothing of developing games). They have a designer handle a group of stadiums, uniforms, or both. There is too much on their plate to make sure the 5th window from the left on the 40th floor of a 50 floor high rise is lit for a night game. However, they get 99% of it right which only hometown fans notice something is off.
While I think everyone is right to point out mistakes (so they can hopefully get fixed) and have a right to be disappointed, I think if you put it into perspective these mistakes are very understandable.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Yeah it does look a little like "who turned the lights off in St Louis" lol, its almost as if someone forgot to turn that part of the lighting code on for STL night games, who knows you could strike lucky and it be included in a patch but i doubt it.
As for the logo, yes, i think thats just automatically added when you share something from the PS4.Comment

Yeah....I was thinking it too...but I see HO seems a little miffed on a whole towards MLBTS since online is a mess....so a little slack.

We're not talking about a window ona high rise, we're talking about the signs inside the stadium. Their biggest selling point for the next-gen games was the stadiums lol. The reason they couldn't do other things was because they re-built every stadium from scratch. This isn't an oversight. Either the day 1 patch will include the "on switch" for the stadium lighting, or they made a conscious decision to not light those signs or any of those bleachers that are pitch black. Maybe they are too resource-intensive... although we're on the first iteration with a brand new system, the resources are supposed to be there at this point. They shouldn't be close to maxing out the PS4 game on the first try, with a 9 month development cycle.
So yeah it will be disappointing if the stadium signs are unlit. I haven't noticed if this just seems to be with Busch or if the other stadiums have this issue as well.Comment

Is there a confirmed day one patch? It'd be nice if there was. With how these screens are looking, there better be one that 'turns the switch on". lolComment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
If you guys had the choice of pre-ordering at gamestop and getting the stubs or picking the game up at midnight from another store and getting the game for $55 instead of 60 which would you do? I'm torn lol...Comment

Doesn't answer your question at all (my vote is save the $5, but I'm fairly frugal with purchases) but thought I'd throw that out there for those interested.Comment

I already pre-ordered my digital copy through PSN. However, I saw you could get a download code from Gamestop.com, so you get the digital copy with the pre-order bonus I believe.
