DAMAGE CONTROL.......again this is nothing new or ground breaking (should be expected) though and anyone familiar with how online vs CPU/AI works knows it plays the same as offline. It is necessary time for this series to get with it and charging us to play online while delivering a horrible online experience is/should not be acceptable

This game is not charging anyone to play online. If the game wasnt made you would still be paying to play online.

I'll say this, I haven't played my ps4 this much since I bought the console. MLB the show on the ps4 is a great game. I usually do franchise mode every year, but I also enjoy being able to play friends online. With that said, it's sad that this game still struggles in this area. I'll also admit that the last 2 games I played online were better than the first couple of games. Maybe it's because the servers are less loaded at the late hours I played the game tonight? I don't know. The dark outfields, stands and background doesn't bother me that much because I know they'll fix that. Besides these things, I've been enjoying the game a lot and this is a great sim.

Is it just me but when I am watching these streams of different teams ect I am seeing " Russell's " in the crowd.

First off.....I'm not part of any damage control. Don't tell me you're going to start going there as well now. I would think you would know better than that.
Now...
I'm not arguing that point with you. Poor online play has plagued this game for quite a while.
I would say I'M as well versed in this game as anyone...and I wasn't sure that the online vs. CPU worked this way until I tried it last night for myself.
Again.....there are a group of guys that want the online franchise benefits...that have no intention of playing vs any other human opponent. There are also some that want to play historical seasons....with the correct division/league structure...also something you can only do online.
I was merely telling that group of players.......you are good to go with online.

Nothing more.

Say what? The cityscape shot before the game begins is a picture of busch stadium II? Lol, oops....

These lighting issues with the stands remind me of the same issue when NCAA updated its lighting engine a few years ago. The way the light source from the stadium lights was simulated was at a very direct and narrow angle, but didn't reflect the actual physics of light, and of light at such quantity and intensity traveling the way it is supposed to and illuminating the entire environment.

If all of the light sources in night games originate from the stadium lights, I might suggest artificially lighting the crowd since the light physics aren't simulated realistically.

Not sure this has been mentioned yet but from watching some streams and asking questions, the bat boys do absolutely nothing but sit on a chair! It appears that the ball boys in right and left field appear to get the foul balls but bat boys don't go over and pick up the bats after an at bat. There's a cutscene if a batter breaks his bat then the bat boy or someone brings over another bat, but like I said its a cutscene. I think this very disappointing especially after it's on the new features list. Obviously this is nitpicking but I would have liked to see the bat boy more involved that's all. Later

I've seen a stream with bat boys picking up a ball. Someone fouled a ball off and it rolled near the dugout and the bat boy came up from the steps and grabbed the ball before the camera cut back to the plate.
