I expect the PS3 and Vita versions to release on the first Tuesday in March. I wouldn't be surprised to see the PS4 version release later though. The first PS3 version of The Show came out in mid May back in 2007.

Ive seen the release date posted as April 1 on several sites although it has changed. I know Amazon has it as Dec 31 2014 only because there is no solid date yet.

The PS3 is harder to program games on compared to the PS4 from what I understand and maybe the reason why MLB 07 The Show was not released until May of 2007. Since the PS4 does not suffer from the same issue I would not expect a similar late release date.

But then again you never know

I bet release date and real box cover will be announced in a little over a week during CES 2014!

You have to remember there is way more intricate art this go around for he ps4 so it could yield the same results as far as time.

I've been wondering something about check swings. Didn't that action take use of the pressure sensitive face buttons on the Dual Shock 3? Now that the Dual Shock 4 does not feature pressure sensitive buttons, how will that work?

Check swings always have been about timing. Nothing to do with pressure sensitive buttons.

Really? I didn't know that. I thought it registered when I barely hit X to swing, but backed off of it, then it registered the check swing. I learned something today! I apologize for the ignorance.

I always thought the same thing. My checks are only on the light, barely pressed swing attempts.

The best business decision would be to release the PS3 version in March,
then release the PS4 version in May.

If they were both released in March, I'd only buy the PS4 Show.
If the PS4 Show was delayed till May, I'd get the PS3 Show in March
& then the PS4 Show in May.
I'm sure many others would do the same albeit reluctantly.
The base would be upset at first but not enough to boycott the game.

Still, I'm praying for an early March release for the PS4 Show.

That would be some bulls hit. I wouldn't think a stand up studio like SCE San Diego would do that.

I love the show but I wouldn't buy both.

Buying one wouldn't effect their bottom line so it wouldn't be a wise business decision from my view.
