Is it wrong that I get on here 3 or 4 times a day just out of peer chance that someone found a new screenshot or anything visual for the upcoming next-gen game?

Yes, actually for this year version they may be a little more tight lip than normal, but we also got a rare first look of the game way earlier than normal, I can't honestly recall getting any news in November of previous installments

Yes, actually for this year version they may be a little more tight lip than normal, but we also got a rare first look of the game way earlier than normal, I can't honestly recall getting any news in November of previous installments

So do you think that means there aren't going to be that many new announcements, or are the just waiting to surprise us all at once?

I don't mind the none info since the small trailer. Its a very, very, very creditable product. I am all in. As soon as the Show for the PS4 hit the retail store, SONY will get $400-450 of my income tax money.

Generally they don't start feeding us info until February. Now with the game coming out on the ps4 they might be holding off on some news because they are planning on making a big production annoucement to promote the game and that stuff takes time to make. last year they had already announced the release date for mlb 13 but that game was only coming on systems they already made games for. So with ps4 being a new console, SCEA has to practically start making the game from scratch so it might not be ready when the ps3 and vita's versions are and that's why we seen a release date yet, my bet is SCEA is still waiting to see if all versions will be ready to release simultaneously before committing to a set release date.

Now this is something that's been brought up on here more times than people would care to mention, but with 2K cancelling their series, does The Show still have to adhere to the dreaded "Style Guide?" Does it matter now that no company has the exclusive rights? Some on here claim that The Show is still bound by it, but can someone verify this? Does it affect throwback jerseys?

The style guide(not the study guide as someone referred to it ) will still have to be adhered to.
That is an MLB directive.

The ability to create our own jersey's in franchise mode would be a nice feature. In case there is a jersey that isn't part of the style guide that we want to use or there is a certain shade of blue we want for our own personal retinas.

An issue I realized today, is that this season in particular the uniform slot limit is going to KILL realism. The Cubs are wearing 9 different throwbacks this year in honor of Wrigley's 100th anniversary (a throwback for every decade at Wrigley). And an all-new road alternate.

An issue I realized today, is that this season in particular the uniform slot limit is going to KILL realism. The Cubs are wearing 8 different throwbacks this year in honor of Wrigley's 100th anniversary.

Do we know what the limitation is for the ps4 version is yet?

I just assumed it would be similar since they still have to follow the Style Guide.

Following the style guide and slot limitations are different issues though. I wouldn't give up hope yet.

It's possible the additional resources will allow for more uniform options.
