Ok maybe I'm a little weird but a specific thing I have in my mind:
When I think of sights to behold on the PS4 (hoping they add variable weather conditions during games) when rain has been falling and the sky opens up and the sun lights up the wet patches on the dirt. This would be majestic

I bet the new lighting engine on the PS4 is going to blow us all away. I also would expect much better weather affects and Day to night transition!

Every day, I come here looking for info and still nada. I am convinced Operation Sports has major problems now.

I'm sorry if this has been brought up before but does anyone have any idea why all the employees are kept so quiet? What's stopping them from just completely leaking whats really going on? Do they make that much money or are they in that much fear of losing their jobs?

Like Nem said... NDA, done the right way - meaning, the people involved actually honor that contract that they signed. Says a lot about those people's integrity.

Most games have NDAs, but because someone doesn't honor it, leaks happen. Same for other types of media.

Just saying, we had very little info about MLB 2K13 and that ended up being a turd sandwich.

Not saying The Show will be, but generally when games withhold info for longer than usual, it is due to problems with the game.

I'm convinced even 2K didn't know if there would be a 2K13 installment, then rushed to get one out on time after finding out they had to push out one more year.

Also, playing off Russell's mention that everything is going according to schedule and there will be no less news this year than last, then consider this:

Last year the game released on the first Tuesday in March. This year, assuming April 1st is the release date, then the developer journals would be pushed back as well. So, if the schedule is similar, then we should begin seeing some info within a couple of weeks, as if it were mid-January in previous years.

You know, that is what I am hoping for as well. I play Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2013 on my vita and the weather and rain in that game looks great. I remember playing a game that started out cloudy with no rain and by the 4th inning the rain started to come down. I also think the rain let up a bit throughout the game. Hoping some type of weather like this can make it in the Show on the PS4.

Agreed. That would be amazing. I think it would be a few years away though to be properly implemented. If it rains during the game, then maybe the green area in the throwing meter shrinks because the likely hood of an error increases. Ground balls roll much slower. Outfielders may not run as fast or balls die before making it to the wall. I'm not sure if there's enough power to make all that happen but I'd gladly wait 5 years to implement it correctly all at once, rather than cosmetic rain that has no effect on the game.
