I do a list of all first and last names in game for my player generator, I can post it at some point so people can see what is in.

I have to admit that I have a great baseball name, as its soooo close to a HoF already. Think Barry's dad :wink:

MLB has a salary cap?

They do but it isn't a hard cap, only financial penalties which are insignificant compared to the benefit.

Still it would be nice to have it in the game, would get the lower budget teams more cash.

Anybody know how budget works in online franchise? Same as offline or do all teams have the same budget?

Sony needs to do a better job of promoting it's games, the show is amazing series, 1 month away, it's the only baseball game on the market, where is the ps4 promotion/videos?

They have had the "baseball is better" promos for the last few weeks. But I believe I saw where Russell "liked" a post referring to possibly seeing some PS4 gameplay vids within the next week or two.

He might be talking about TV spots. I remember some of those old Show commercials with Mauer, very very funny. There's no commercials that say this is the only baseball game available and, by the way, it's amazing. I'm not sure how many casual fans will find their way to the baseball is better promos on that website.

Then again, you may see it all over the place opening week. That would be the ideal place and time to spend tv marketing dollars. The casual baseball fan watches opening week, final week, and playoffs.

Wow, I can't remember a time where I was just a casual fan! hahahaha! Lets see, I started listening to the Yanks when I was 6 in 96, and I haven't missed a radio broadcast to date!

How about this? When I was 3, living in Georgia, I could tell you the names, positions and numbers of the starting nine of the Braves, and wouldn't go to bed until the game was over if they were on.

same as offline, but the real question is how will it work for fantasy draft leagues again I am just assuming based on some detective work looking at screens already posted.

Try that but still being that dedicated to the Braves today many years later.

True. Soon after 3-4 years old, I moved to the NE, and well, been a Sox fan. I was really too young to have a "team" at 3-4 years old, soooo, once I got a "team", it was the Sox.

Are you wondering how on earth I listened to games during those times when an afternoon game was on, and I was in school? Simple, being visually impaired, all my books were on audio. No problem at all to pretend I was reading my text books, while really listening to John Sterling!
