As I suspected...OOTP has all real minor leagues. Even has their stats from previous seasons.

I'm curious to see what happens when they incorporate graphics(delayed for this release) into the game.

It may have something to do with OOTP not actually recreating a visual representation of players. Or their exempt from licensing. Idk.
Edit - sorry, should have refreshed lol. Flaxseed, were you already planning to by OOTP?

Not sure, but there definitely isn't a MiLB Player's Association. It's been a hot topic over the last few years.

Likeness they cannot use...but any info is up for grabs(including name ...salary etc)
That case was won...I'm going to say 8 or so years ago.

What would you recommend the hitting style be for someone new to the show? I've heard about timing and zone and such, but I'm not really sure what they mean. I haven't played a baseball game in years... I'm excited!

Timing or analog are by far the easiest for newcomersComment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
You could look up a clip of NBA 2K14 on next gen and you'll see it at the beginning of each game, (it'll be different from The Show since baseball stadiums are open, as opposed to Basketball stadiums that are enclosed). Basically, the broadcast will start by flying from outside the stadium (to where you can see the street level stuff around the stadiums and the outside of the stadium), into the stadium to see the field and everything. Of course that's me assuming what you'll see. I'm sure you won't be able to see EVERYTHING, it might even just start from the top of the stadium for all I know. We'll find out soon enough though.
Funnily enough, MLB 06 had a similar thing, of course, it was a pre-rendered cutscene. One for day and one for night, but I thought it was pretty cool, kinda why 06 is still my all time favorite (also because it was my first). Good to see that it's back in.
Triple Play 98 had them and it was amazing.Comment

Best fly in intro ever. Triple play 98. All team intros in video. Just fast forward past game intro.

Go with analog. Timing is the "easiest" but also the most boring. Analog isn't hard, it's just more involved.
Pull back on the right stick to start your loading phase, then up on the stick to swing. It's intuitive and feels rewarding when you connect.Comment

My ISP just informed that my account no longer has a broadband cap. Downloading as soon as I can preloaded.Comment

Is that just for baseball games? Didn't EA sports get in trouble for using ratings that resembled NCAA players?Comment
