So here's what has been removed that we know of.

Fans catching Foul balls and homers
The Ability to change/edit cap brims and ear flaps of MLB players (Confirmed in a bug report by a Dev. PS3 also)
Co-op play (Hustlinowl mentioned this)
Bunting control is now tied directly to swing type and isn't a separate option anymore(Mabster mentioned this)

Things we aren't 100% of

Intro Fly ins (might be different depending on stadium, but looks like it's in)
Pitcher picking up the Rosin bag (In real time not a cut scene)

Am I missing anything?

Sounds like I'll just be getting the PS3 version after all.

I have the ps3 version but I also have ps4 but if I didnt I would not buy a ps4 jus for mlb the show 14 thats for sure cause its not much differernt from everyrhing ive seen ..

I'm also thinking that fly ins may be only for certain games in franchise mode. I will start a franchise tonight and see if they are there for opening day.

Edit player is virtually identical to last year. There isn't even anywhere that I can see picking the Japanese swing type so I can only assume they are tied to specific stances as I know that Ichiro and Kawasaki have it. There is only 1 type of hair that can be classified as "long hair" but all head/facial hair looks much better. There is 2 types of "long beards", though a couple like the handlebar mustache come past the bottom of the chin a little bit.

Ball boys are in for sure though the sequence won't usually run long enough for them to get the ball before going to the next pitch but I have seen them pick up the ball if they get to it. There is a bat/ball boy by the dugouts that will go after/pick up fouls but I haven't seen anything with them getting a bat yet. Unless it's a cutscene I doubt it happens because I think they cut to the next batter too quick. Will check better tonight.

Re-reading my comment and using "specific shots" makes me realize it was a poor choice of words. Two exhibition games in different stadiums opened with a shot of the cityscape. Don't know yet if the shot can vary per stadium or not.

I PM'ed Russell about co-op play about 2 or 3 weeks ago, and he confirmed it's IN. Are you sure? (I'm referring to offline co-op btw). IDK about online co-op.

I can not 100% confirm it right now, but there is room under each team in quick play for two controllers. That would seem to indicate 2 v 2 local co-op no?

If I was to hazard a guess about the graphical differences mostly going on MLB 13 PS3 vs the PS4 version again I'd have to say that it comes down to having more resources to work with. Animation at least in one game seemed a little less canned (if you know what I mean). It felt a bit more fluid overall.

I can't comment on Uniform numbers vs. PS3, all I can say is that there's a ton at least for the Angels. I must've gone through 10 options.

I'm not sold on the hitting camera yet. I like the idea but it really limits what you're seeing out in the field. Great for 'realism', but disappointing if you want to actually see the game.

I love the fielding camera though. Fielding feels like a bit of an adventure sometimes.

Bayman is the MLB hard core. I'm a novice compared to him. He's your best bet for a more detailed opinion on the game play.

I will try to snag some screens and vids off the PS4 when the 1.70 update drops tomorrow.

IDK, like i said, I PM'ed Russell a few weeks ago specifically regarding this, and he said it's in. "IIRC" lol, I mentioned offline, either way he said "yup"... unless it was a last minute scrap.... but I doubt it. Here, hows this.. Russell! Wanna weigh in, Lay down the law?
