Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Schoop holds much more trade value than for a back of the bullpen power arm (unless you're talking Holland/Kimbrel/Rosenthal/Chapman)
I'd focus on Kelvin Herrera of the Royals. The budget option is Henry Rodriguez of the Marlins. The prospect option is Domingo Tapia of the Mets.Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

So, I need a decent, cheap shortstop. In my Astros franchise, Villar and Gonzalez are absolutely killing me. Both are hitting sub-200. I need someone to fill in while I wait for Correa to improve.
Any suggestions? They don't have to be young. Just someone I can depend on.
If I could get one by moving Dallas Keuchel and L.J. Hoes, I would be ecstatic.Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Abandoned my Indians franchise and am starting with the Mets. Going to look to make them a contender for next year, or possibly even this year.
First step is to move a couple of these prized pitching prospects for a star that could be on the move in real life. First guy that came to mind was David Price for Syndergaard and (fill in with who else I should throw in). A rotation of Harvey, Price, Wheeler and anyone else left after the trade would be filthy.
Any other pretty big name guys rumored to be on the move this year in real life? Doesn't have to be a pitcher, would be cool with a hitter also.

Syndergaard, Montero, Flores, Nimmo?
Stanton's name will surely float around the trade market this summer. Pablo Sandoval is another one (maybe he could play 1B for he Mets with Wright at 3B?). Brandon Phillips...Carlos Quentin...I'm sure there are more bats that will be dealt but I can come up with any more namesFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Yeah for sure. I was thinking more in the terms if he wanted a power reliever for whom he didn't have to give up Schoop. Sorry if that wasn't clear
Edit: Didn't Schoop come up as a 3B in the minors and changed to 2B a year or two ago? Maybe he could be their future 3B?Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

I'm no Mod but a bit of advice, you gotta be patient before you bump a post. If it gets buried a couple of pages back than you can ask again but don't expect immediate responses because it usually takes a little bit of time for people to answer posts (Most people will respond only to certain posts but I'm sure some of the more active users will respond when they log-on)
Not trying to fight just thought I'd throw in my two cents.
That being said, I listed a few bigger names rumored as trade bait.
SamardIja
Castro (Already mentioned)
Price (as you mentioned)
Bautista (if the Blue Jays fall 15+ back from Wild Card
Masterson
Asdrubal Cabrera
Carlos Santana
Mauer
Reddick
Lee, Chooch, Paps, Utley, Howard, JRoll could be had from the Phils
Phillips from Cincy
Gallardo from MIL if they are out of it
Tulo + Cargo if COL is out of it
This is everyone I see that I consider a bigger name that had a rumor attached or would be logicalComment

Sort of a stretch here but trade for Rickie Weeks and convert him to SS?
Erick Aybar is 2 high C's from the Angels which is a fairly good deal if Grant Green is playing well and can replace him. Or you simply op for Grant Green instead. Don't believe SS is his best position though (2B/3B) but I'm sure he'd be alright.
Tyler Pastornicky from the Braves but Keuchel/Hoes would simply be AAA depth for them so you'd have to find another package in exchange.
Don't laugh but Rafael Furcal from the Marlins is my last name to throw out thereFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Good point but Carpenter was given a 5-6 year extension a couple of months ago which makes me think Wong is the more expendable one of the two (if it came down to it)Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.
