You think the Brewers realistically deal Braun?
Sorry to not get back to you earlier. I think the Brewers would at least field offers for him in the scenario that they are having 2 bad years in a row. I'd say it would be something similar to the Jays trading Reyes or Bautista. Braun is no longer the face of the franchise I don't think I'd consider him a cornerstone anymore either. I think a Braun trade is more likely than them trading Lucroy or Gomez at this point, especially because he'd probably get the most back if he was playing up to his ability.

If the Brewers were 10+ games out of the wild card spot and he's putting up career averages he's probably game to be traded for. Apparently the Mets offered a trade for him in the offseason but Brewers declined that. Not even sure what the deal included but if Wheeler was in the offer I bet Brewers FO was considering it.

EDIT: Ew, reading into it a bit more it seems like the trade would have been centered around Braun for Ike Davis

That was a rumor in real life last season and I think it'd be a nice deal for both teams.

I would like to hold onto Wheeler. I like to keep the young prospects who have their real pictures in the game, helps with immersion in my opinion.

Really for any star player like Stanton, David Price, etc. I'm thinking Syndergaard, and two of these three: Montero, Nimmo, Puello. Is that enough?

Swisher for Dan Vogelbach + Dillon Maples lines up with what the spreadsheet says. Big Dan could be a powerhouse DH for Cleveland in the future. Maples is interchangeable with any low B Cubs prospect. I know you wanted to trade Villanueva in a separate trade, so I didn't recommend him, but he'd also work in place of Maples. (assuming you mean Christian Villanueva)

Quentin for Gioskar Amaya + Vitters/Jackson may work. Again, I'd suggest Christian Villanueva (just by himself) for this trade as it matches up with the spreadsheet.

For the LHP, if Boston is out of contention, Jon Lester for Almora + Villanueva matches spreadsheet value.

If Toronto is out of it, Mark Buehrle could be an option. Spreadsheet says Low B for him. Villanueva, again would be perfect.

Jason Vargas, if he's pitching well could be a nice buy low option for you. Any mid to high C prospect would work there.

If the Braves aren't contending, Mike Minor is an option. Alcantara + Grimm fits the spreadsheet value.

These all follow the spreadsheet and Cubs prospects potentials with the OSFM roster set. So if you're going by those things, they're all fair.

I personally don't think so, just because in my opinion it'd take two A prospects and probably 2 or 3 B prospects to get either guy in real life. But it's a good start.

Ok, so I'm near the trade deadline. My Astros are out of contention (shocking), and I'm looking to unload a few guys.

Pittsburgh is looking to make their playoff push and they desperately need a 1B with a good bat. Chris Carter is hitting .261 with 24 HRs and 67 RBIs right now. I would love to get someone like Alen Hanson or Tyler Glasnow.

What kind of package do you guys think it would take to get those guys (at least one of them)?

They just gave Infante a 4 year deal, plus they have Johnny Giavotella hitting .350 in AAA (he just got called up recently, however) so I doubt they'd want Schoop..... unless they completely give up on Mike Moustakas soon, which is highly unlikely.

To be honest, it'd probably take a semi-decent player to get Herrera away from the Royals. They have him under contract through 2018 and they love having him in there when he's going well.

Think of a B potential SP who might turn into a 3rd starter someday and/or some sort of B-rated MiLB position player, like an OFer?? Just don't throw in David Lough since the Royals already traded him to the Orioles. (Maybe C-potential, I'm not up with how the Show rates guys very well yet)

They did trade Will Smith for Nori Aoki in the off-season. They value Herrera about as much as that, so that could be your starting point. Smith was under control until 2020.

Can't you only trade 3 guys at a time though in game? Syndergaard and Montero are both A's and Nimmo/Puello are solid B prospects, with Puello really having A potential in real life.

Appreciate the feedback! Herrera is a high B and even though he is struggling right now I don't think it would work.

There are so few good potential relievers it is mind boggling.

I will stick with Schoop for a bit and hopefully his bat wakes up.

I'm like 8-14 right now with 6 BSV. Bullpen is just killing me.

Divide it into separate deals where you acquire a scrub in the 2nd deal for the rest of the prospects you're giving up

Kingman is a good call. The small piece could be a minor league arm/bat that you find in the lowers minors

Lucas Duda is lighting it up, and ive moved Ike to the bench. I don't really have a roster spot for him anymore, and im looking to trade him. After a hot start, Ruben Tejada has cooled off extremely. Is there any way I can REALISTICALLY move Ike, possibly Tejada, and some prospects for an mlb ready shortstop and possibly relief?

Are there any bottom dweller teams that has a SS for sale and could use a 1B?

This is a longshot but Davis and Tejada to the Angels for Aybar and a reliever like Maronde/Kohn/Roth. Davis could give Albert some off-days at 1B while DH'ing a bit as well. DiPoto would be able to shed some salary in Aybar to offset his big money guys. Tejada and Grant Green can handle the SS duties in SoCal

Yeah, usually what people do to add more than 3 prospects to a trade is to add the first 3 and trade for the player you want and then add whatever else you need to trade for a D prospect with the lowest overall on the other team.
