Yeah our farm system is garbage in my opinion Lol I don't like Castro personally, but I agree with you in that Theo won't trade Castro for JUST prospects. Therefore, Pineda would have to be moved in the deal REALISTICALLY lol

I highly doubt I am gonna trade him unless I can think of a great offer for him.

Venable is batting .301 with 18 home runs, and 53 RBI with 13 SB at the end of July (1 day before the deadline). Any idea of returns? Teams that could use him that are in contention are

Reds, Dbacks, Cubs, Rangers, Mariners, Indians, Yankees and Red Sox.

I also have Hedges available for trade to go along if needed.

that's a lot of teams to sort from ...any specific positions you're looking to upgrade in return?

The main teams are Reds, Cubs and Red Sox and I would like to maybe deal Hedges + Venable (with how good he''s doing) for a player or two. No prospects though, someone who can contribute this year but isn't over 26-27 preferably.

The only positions that are 100% solid are C, 1B, 3B, 2B and LF. So anything else (SS, CF, RF). Don't need pitchers

i don't think the Reds are eager to deal either Hamilton ....not right away anyway or exchange Bruce for Venable.....Cubs would LOVE Hedges but Bonifacio nor Schierholtz are worth him...Junior Lake wouldn't be enough.....only OF'er I can think of from the Sox is JBJ and I don't think they're eager to trade Boegarts....I don't really see a match

Ya that's what I figured. I will probably just keep him then. Thanks though!

So I started up a Rockies franchise and I am liking it so far except for second base. I am looking to get Darwin Barney from the Cubs. Whats a realistic and fair trade? I do not want to have to part with any B prospects and I will gladly send along Rutledge. Would Rutledge and a C prospect be able to do it?

i personally think Rutledge for Barney straight-up is fine

NYM, HOU, KC, PHI, BAL, and MIN are way out of contention.

Any suggestions? When I ask, know that I use SCEA rosters so essentially I was thinking you could give me a name to trade for and tell me what kind of prospects and how many it would take. Realism is key for me!!!

Valverde (NYM) seems like a decent fit and he's not pitching too well. I was thinking 2 C prospects but I'm not sure.

Jesse Crain (HOU) would be awesome but he's pitching really well and I'm afraid what it might cost me.

Carlos Marmol (MIA) possibly. He's struggling but could help.

Jim Johnson (OAK) would be great. He's dominating but OAK is 9.5 back in the wildcard so I'm afraid it's too soon for them. Maybe not?

Anyway, player names and prospect costs would be really appreciated. I never really trust my self and what's fair.

                      Jared Burton from Minnesota
                      AJ Ramos from Miami
                      Antonio Bastardo from Philadelphia
                      Wade Davis from KC
                      Darren O'Day from Baltimore

Value depends on their stats but in general you can't go wrong with a high C for each

Anybody have any ideas on who I can get for !at Latos? I've decided I'm going to lock Cueto up, and I won't be able to keep both. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the trade deadline is coming up.
What if signatures didn't mean anything?

You can get a lot for him. Every team in the league except for maybe the Cardinals would be interested in him.

Any certain position/type of player that you're looking for?

I'm pretty set with pitchers, but maybe some prospects at second, short, or third. Any thoughts?

I don't think Arte Moreno would let them take on that type on contract for someone who's not a difference maker at this point. Ole Arte loves to make a splash, but only with big name value guys. Sure, Ethier is definitely a name out there, but I just don't think they'd do it. They probably let Boesch, Shuck, and Cowgill fight it out in a corner OF spot, maybe try Grant Green in the OF, or maybe sign a guy like Ibanez for cheaper.[/quote]

                                Ok, thanks for your input!
