I was thinking about something like Hedges + Hahn (86 pot now and 71 ovr), Fried, and Kelly (85 pot now).

There's no realistic way the Cubs give up Bryant period.

I am at the end of the 2014 season (offseason) in my Cubs franchise, and I was also considering adding Matt Kemp. The Dodgers need to trade at least one of their 4 outfielders, and I want to at least be competitive this season, so I thought I could gamble on Kemp to bounce-back.

What would the Dodgers want from the Cubs? I see the spreadsheet says Mid A, High B for Kemp, but that seems a bit high to me considering his massive contract and injury history the last few years. Is his value still really that high?

I was thinking possibly Alcantara + another piece, but not sure at this point.

Alright guys put together some ideas for Utley and Howard.. it's early July. I could use Outfield and SP help.

Here are the teams in contention: Nats Braves Cardinals Pirates Reds Dodgers Dbacks Giants Padres Blue Jays Red Sox Tigers Rangers Mariners A's

Listed with each player are teams that could use a 2B or 1B/DH.

Utley first: (.278, 7 HR, 27 RBI in the #2 spot)

Reds: Brandon Phillips isn't a starter, they have a Rule 5 player (Eddie Rosario) batting .247 in the starting lineup. Utley for Robert Stepenson and Jae Hong (B rated 3B Prospect)

Pirates: Neil Walker is hitting .230. Utley for Austin Meadows or Marte or Josh Bell. Whichever one you think is realistic... if any. Meadows and Bell are A rated prospects but there isn't much room in that Pittsburgh outfield. Or Utley for Nick Kingham.

Cardinals: Eduardo Nunez is hitting .243. Utley for Marco Gonzalez (B Potential LHP) or Aaron Sanchez or Carlos Martinez.

Blue Jays: Jed Lowrie is batting .242. Utley for DJ Davis and Matt Boyd (Both B Rated)

A's: Scooter Gennett is batting .237. Utley for Raul Alcantara (A Potential RHP)

Rangers: Profar is batting .217. Utley for Nick Martinez and Nick Williams (B rated)

Howard now: (.295, 25 HR, 66 RBI leads the league in RBI and HR)

Cardinals: Matt Adams is hitting .237. Howard for Stephen Piscotty or Gonzalez or Sanchez or Martinez from above.

Tigers: Cabrera is entrenched at 1B but their DH is Devon Travis hitting .203 with 5 HR. Howard for Robbie Ray or Pedro Sandoval or Jonathan Crawford (All B rated SP) and Bruce Rondon (B Rated)

A's: Moss is fine, but they have Gerald Laird as their DH so... Howard for Alcantara or Matt Olson (A 1b prospect) or Howard for Ynoa and Billy Burns.

Sorry for the long post. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Alcantara + Almora or CJ Edwards?

But if you're using 2 of Castro, Baez and Bryant since it'd be hard to use all three, how about Castro and Alcantara? The Dodgers could slide Hanley to 3B.

I'm halfway through June and have been blocking CPU to CPU trades for the most part that I didn't think would occur. One I blocked early in the season:

              BOS Receives:
              J. Cueto (SP)
              JJ Hoover (CP)

              CIN Receives:
              C. Capuano (RP)
              H. Owens (SP, A Pot, 73 OVR)

I didn't think this was unrealistic of a trade. In my chise, BOS's closer has over a 5 ERA and with Chapman closing, left no spot for Hoover. But now, BOS is 9.5 games back (last) in the division, 7.0 GB of WC. Does BOS still make this trade to try salvage their season? It is June 20 in the season. CIN 4.0 GB of WC. I guess this trade only goes through if BOS gets closer to contention, and CIN falls off towards the deadline?

I just want to be realistic about timing of this trade. CIN, I would think, would definitely try sell Hoover to contenders by the deadline.

If Cueto and Hoover are pitching pretty well, Cincinatti falls out of contention and the Red Sox could use them I think that's a fair enough trade.

In fairness, yes you can probably sub in Ranaudo for Ball. Ranaudo is pretty close to MLB ready but is what 24? Not terrible including the other two they are getting, they would be quite greedy to say no.

Not sure what Eithier's value is, assume two low B's? (can't access sheet for some reason). I would go with something similar as the Byrd deal and add in another decent C+ or B- arm.

Owens is a good starting point for both, Cap doesn't hold much value whatsoever to me so it is a great SP when healthy and a pretty solid bullpen piece for one A. I think Boston needs to add a decent amount to get this close.

Oh hell I'll jump in on the Kemp trade talk. I'm the Rays in 2015 30-23, tied for first in the ALE, 2 games in front of the Angles for the last WC. The Dodgers are 1.5 games behind the Giants in the NLW. They are 24th in blown saves. The spreadsheet says it would take a Mid A, and a High B. What if I traded Balfour (7 SVs, 8 Ks, 0.00 ERA no BS), Desmond Jennings (.276 AVG, 7 HR, 30 RBI), and Jose Molina (cather is a need for the Dodgers. 48 ABs, .313 AVG, 0 HR, 10 RBI)? I'm also willing to make a trade around Cobb as well. Thanks

Anything with a pulse . The Twins need help at MI, in the rotation and in the pen. Stephen Wright/Alex Wilson plus Jon Herrera? Straight up for Brock Holt (who'll play 2B and you change Dozier to SS)?

Not much of value going in either direction in this trade. Basically just trading a need for a need

I believe Middlebrooks is a good starting point. JB Jr is a nice option for the Dodgers but the OF is a bit crowded there so I'd opt for Mookie Betts instead. Finish it off with a prospect arm like Anthony Ranaudo/Brandon Workman?

WMB, Betts and Ranaudo for Kemp?

Speaking of the twins. Im doing a franchise with the Phillies. Is sending Minnesota Hamels and Rollins for Alex Meyer, Jose Berrios and Eddie Rosario a fair trade. Minnesota is leading the central by 3 games at the deadline.

Hamels is 11-6 with a 2.75, Rollins is .264 with 8 Hr and 41 RBI. Their 3 guys have no MLB time.
