Could anyone help me out with the Trades I posted a few pages back? Want to make sure they are fair.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I don't think the Pedro Alvarez deal is fair. If you want to get the Pirates' only true source of power, you're going to have to give up someone like Pineda, IMO.
The Weaver deal isn't bad. But I would think that if the Angels are going to give up their ace, they would at least need a pitcher with some potential out of it.
Also, if you're looking for a solid 3rd baseman, Matt Dominguez on the Astros is pretty solid. He's a pretty good hitter, and very good defensively. Plus, he would be cheaper than Alvarez.Last edited by UTAllTheWay; 06-10-2014, 11:17 PM.Comment

I don't consider myself to be an expert on this by any stretch of the imagination, so feel free to take my word with a grain of salt.

I think that would be better. Although, I don't know if the value on the spreadsheet matches the Campos on the OSFM roster. I think he's only D potential on that roster, isn't he?Comment

Oh ok, I see. Well judging from the spreadsheet, I think that would be a more "fair" deal. Not entirely realistic (I doubt the Angels give up their ace at all), but I could see it as fair from the spreadsheet.Comment

I'm planning to move Iglesias because I'm looking to sign either Hanley/Andrus in FA after the season

Mets and Pirates are the top options.
I'm not a mod but please stop bumping post. There have been far too many the last few days. If it goes a few days unanswered than ask again but a few hours doesn't warrant a bump.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Soriano holds very little value in that deal. If the Angels are shipping off Weaver, they're essentially giving up on the season and would want prospects back.
Send them Luis Severino and whoever has the highest potential out of Heathcott/Williams/Austin.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
As for the Angels deal, Weaver's their ace and has a somewhat team friendly extension signed. Angels would only trade for Soriano if they're in contention and if they were, they wouldn't let Weaver go. They already have a thin rotation. If you insist on getting Weaver, Pineda would have to be a part of the package along with Gary Sanchez and a lesser prospect filler.
Making a playoff push with the Yankees and Cubs are like 15 games out of the playoffs too. I also want to find a replacement for Jeter down the line. Is this a somewhat fair trade? It seems to line up with the spreadsheet but i'm not really sure.
Yankees Send:
Bryan Mitchel (who has improved to about a 71 ovr)
Gary Sanchez
Slade Heathcott
Mason Williams
Cubs Send:
Starlin Castro
(Any random D potential guy just to throw in Mason Williams)
If you search back in the thread, we've discussed Castro to Yankees scenarios in the past. Briefly what we came up with was that any deal would have to include Pineda or the Cubs wouldn't biteFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Okay the Indians just put Asdrubal Cabrera on the trade block in my Boston franchise. What should I offer them to get him on the Sox? Drew isn't cutting it, and I've been playing Holt at 3B and Bogaerts at SS. Drew has done nothing for me hitting around .200, and Middlebrooks has been hurt all season and won't be back for another week, I'll likely trade him once he's off the DL unless he impresses me off the bench.
I'm also interested in Atlantas David Carpenter who is on the block, 2-1 19.1IP 1.86 with 17K's and 3 BB's.
I'm trying to only look at players that are put on the trading block by their teams to keep things fair. For now at least until I'm closer to the deadline.
Ortiz just went on the DL for me... not good he's out 4-6 weeks, was hitting .370 with 12 HR and 25 RBI.Last edited by Matty86; 06-11-2014, 06:59 AM.PSN: LobsterKillahComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
What are the Tribe's starters doing, and how's your SP depth? If real life is any indication of in-game team needs, I can easily picture the Indians needing some sort of arms to back up Masterson and Kluber, the latter of whom is rated really, really low imo. Are they even in the hunt -- if not, they probably want prospects.Comment

Masterson 0-6 5.05
Kluber 2-2 4.38
McAllister 1-2 5.40
Marcum 1-2 4.43
Tomlin 3-2 2.70
I have a ton of starting pitching, Lester, Peavy, and Buchholz are all under 2.90 ERAs, Lackey and Doubront are both right around 3.60. Webster hasn't given up a run in 21 innings in AAA, Barnes has a 1.98 in 41 innings, Britton has an ERA in the 5's but everyone else is doing great.
Cleveland just offered me Cabrera for Anthony Ranaudo straight up. He's 6-2 3.10 39K 18BB in 52.1 innings in AAA.Last edited by Matty86; 06-11-2014, 09:00 AM.PSN: LobsterKillahComment
