Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So here it is folks, i have 2 questions
im wanting to do 2 franchises, 1 now and 1 in the future, my first is going to be a bit more challenging. i want to stack the cubs with a few more young stud players and throw the young guys into the fire then just wreck in 3 years
with the Cubs i plan to keep Rizzo because i mash with him, but Casto not so much and the cubs have 3 other stud inf specs in Baez, Jimenez and Bryant. i also like Soler and Almora. for me to have a complete lineup i have a hole in RF or 3B (depending where you would play Bryant) and C. what could i get by moving Olt and Castro? i like the idea of keeping Barney, Bonifacio and Lake on my bench.
also the Cubs dont have great pitching specs, so what could i get if i moved Castro, Olt, Samardizja, Jackson Wright and Wood to fill Pitching, Catching, and either a 3B or RF spot. Would also be willing to move specs like Vizciano and Johnson.
My second questions is for the indians, I feel like they have a nice core in Kipnis, Brantley, Santana, Chisenhall, Gomes, Salazar, Bauer, Kluber and McAllister, and some nice vet guys in Swisher, Murphy and Raburn.
if i wanted to trade Cabrera and Bourn to move up and use Lindor and Frazier, and Masterson since its likley he gets traded IRL what could i look for in return? i would probably try to get a SP, 1B, 3B and RP. Less of a challenge to rebuild with the Indians then Cubs, but the Cubs could be more fun to play with.Comment

Gallo would need to be included as well.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'll be starting up a Yankees Franchise with the OSFM rosters upon release and was interested to know what kind of package it would take to get either Elvis Andrus or Starlin Castro, or would those 2 be players be unrealistic? Obviously they would be Jeter's replacement after he retires. Thanks in advance!

They're both available if the price is right. Problem is that the Yankees don't have much in terms of high end prospects to land any bigger fish. Mason Williams would be the main piece but I'm not sure if JR Murphy/Slade Heathcott/Nik Turley is enough as a 2nd pieceFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

He is in AAA and starting. he has 4 gs with a 1.19 era in 22.2, he only given up 3 ERs this season. 21-4 K/BB rate, and he has a .66 WHIP. So he is having a very good year.Comment

Basically, the Yanks are not a good match with the Cubs. We need pitching talent, and the Yanks don't have a lot.Comment

That's just going based off my guess. And I only think that because Workman was sent down to get lengthened out to be a starter and Webster is the #3 prospect in the system.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I mean I could always take out Bogearts and add in the guy I was going to use to replace Mbrooks, in Cecchini. he is the number 3 prospect in their org. So I am going to go with Webster, Betts, Ball, Vazquez, Cecchini. fair right? According to MLB.com that's 5 top 11 prospects.
Edit:
I just went and googled Stanton Red sox and found the funniest article I have ever seen.
I love when he says I’ll try to keep it as realistic as possible
Also Nick Cafardo gave a trade scenario in Mid-March of Mbrooks or Cecchini, Barnes, Vazquez, JBJ and Betts. which is probably what I will go with.
Sorry I'm late to this conversation, but I assure you that the Marlins would never trade Stanton to the Red Sox unless Bogaerts is gonna wear a Miami uniform. Stanton is a top Hitter, and requires a lot. But if you don't want to completely deplete the farm, Bogaerts is your best bet.Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

You're better off hanging onto Bourn for the duration of his contract and seeing if Frazier is ready by the time it's over, or even have to pick up a 1 year stop gap guy to play center while you let Frazier develop for one more year in the Minors.Comment

I`d imagine is someone offered them a legit prospect they`d take it. Reddick`s stock has fallen since he can`t hit for averageComment
