Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Salazar has been dominant for 1 year of his whole career. This guy has no idea what he is talking about. The year before last he didn't even touch a baseball because he was recovering from TJS and the year before that wasn't even considered a top 20 prospect in the Indians system.Comment

Don't get me wrong, Salazar is a nice young pitcher, but he's not elite imo.Last edited by Cubs1984Nostaglia; 04-24-2014, 04:14 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I already provided my proof, i do not need to do it twice. but its ok you have nothing. I understand. If you dont know how a an elite SP is harder to find then you know absolutley nothing about baseball. Pitchers are harder to find because pitchers can get away with alot of things such as not having movement on a fastball or not having the best control in the minors and college. that make them look better then what they are, but get exposed in the majors. other positions if you can see how well they track a ball and how quick they turn their hips, plus how their bat speed is you can usually tell how likley a player is to pan out.Comment

Salazar is elite?
By the way, power (Bryant) is also exceedingly hard to come by these days.Comment

What a crock of ****, you should probably stop lying before i continue to prove you know absolultey nothing.
1 good year?
2007: 14 starts 1.96 ERA 0.995 WHIP (17)
2012: 22 starts 2.36 ERA 1.1 WHIP
2013: 21 starts 2.71 ERA 1.00 WHIP (Minors)
Funny how those are also his 3 years with the most starts eh?

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
but then again, Bryant who has accomplished nothing in his career, according to you is better then Salazar, which has got to be by far the dumbest thing i have ever heard. Wake me if he ever even makes the big leagues then we'll talk.Comment

an elite SP Spec yes he is. and no Mark Reynolds and Pedro Alvarez types are a dime a dozen, sorry

The NL Leaders were at 36 HRs last year, then the next closest was at 30. If you have a guy who has 45+ HR potential, i'd say that's an elite prospect.
Sure, you keep bringing up MLB experience, but Salazar has 70 innings under his belt. He is no sure thing, and is even struggling so far this year. He's not exactly a proven MLB pitcher.Comment

i mean Salazar has 250 K potential, but you tell us he's not an elite spec. your arguments are just laughable.Last edited by Kipnis22; 04-24-2014, 04:37 PM.Comment

And 70 innings is not even close to enough to determine he is a safe bet. Bryant isn't a sure thing either, we're talking about ceilings.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
My post got lost in all this arguing but what do you guys think is a realistic and fair expectation to get Heyward (the Braves have a 20 year old 72 overall A potential CF also)/Stanton? Before you say they wouldn't move these guys and that is unrealistic, that is only because it is not realistic for a team to pay an absurd amount for them. Given the right value they can be traded. My farm system is behind loaded and I need to get rid of people. Any ideas?Comment

Maybe Jace Peterson (to play second) and Casey Kelly? Just spitballin, tell me if that's a **** offer. It depends on how well Heyward is doing in your franchise.Comment
