Also this is for AC or any other Blue Jay fan.

You mentioned C. R. Martin to Toronto and someone else mentioned either 2B A. Hill or 2B G. Beckam.

    What would Toronto give up.

Keep in my in my Franchise Toronto currently has the MLB best record at 65-41 with a 8.5 game lead on Boston, but Navarro is hitting .256 with 5 HR and 17 RBI, well none of the backups were doing anything so the CPU promoted Jimenez who is hitting .324 but in just 37 AB's.

At 2B Goins is hitting .254 with 6 HR and 32 RBI, well M. Izturis is hitting .252 with 7 HR's 22 RBI

I was too but how good? Top-10 guy like SP's Webster/Ranaudo or OF M. Margot or maybe more like #16 LHP C. Kukuk or #18 RHP J. Callahan?

Margot would be a good get for the DBacks.

If you need to see current stats on the players I am mentioning in the trade they can be found on page 502.

Spreadsheet says for the following players
            Prado ( Mid B, Low B, High C)
            Montero (Low B, Low B)
            Putz (High C, High C)

So that's 7 players going back.

Here are a few of the names I have come up with

            (68/B) SP M. Barnes- 8-7 with a 3.52 ERA-AAA
            (68/C) SP D. Britton-8-5 with a 2.79 ERA-AAA
            (69/C) RP R. De La Rosa- 2-4 with a 2.27 ERA in 75 IP-AA
            (65/B) C C. Vazquez- .254 4 HR 33 RBI-AAA
            61/C) IF S. Croyle-.246 10 HR 55 RBI 13 SB's-AA

My thoughts are Montero would be a nice stop gap until B. Swihart is ready, well Vazquez gives Arizona a young Catcher.

Prado fills in for Middlebrooks this season and moves to the OF to replace Gomes or Victorino next season.

Putz probably won't be resigned unless it's for a whole lot less money.

For Arizona with the rest of the pieces. Barnes gives them a solid Mid-rotation guy to go with their cast of SP's they currently have. Britton gives them a #5 or LR, well De La Rosa gives them a bullpen arm and Croyle can either try and play 3B or move to 2B (I will be trading A. Hill as well)

Obviously it's not full filling all of the spreadsheet values, but do you think this is a fair trade or should Boston give up 1 more high tier prospect?
Is Montero going to add that much value in August? With September call-ups around the corner, it's a steep price to pay. I would keep it simple with Barnes+Croyle for Prado.

Who is Boston going to callup though. Swihart is still in AA, so I can't see him making the jump all the way to Majors and Vazquez's AAA #'s (.254 4 HR 33 RBI) does translate to a everyday catcher for a team fighting to keep the AL Wild card.

Plus Montero is signed pretty cheap in the game for the next 3 years which means Swihart could play in AAA all of next season and then become a decent backup as by then D. Ross will retire as well a M. Napoli

Boston adds 3 players who should help them win this year as well as keep their Top-5 prospects. The only question I had was putting in Margot. I could switch it to a SP like Kukuk or Callahan

Looking for a trade ideas that would be a good fit for LHP SP F. Liriano (83/B) currently 8-4 with a 3.28 ERA and his 7.5 mil contract.

Rockies could use help in the rotation as they are 1.5 GB in the NL West behind the Dodgers and Padres and are same in the NL WC

                J. Chacin is 3-9 with a 4.82 ERA
                R. Scahill is 3-9 with a 5.90 ERA
                J. De La Rosa is 3-1 with a 5.09 ERA as the Long relief

                In AAA

                J. Gray is 2-2 with a 2.77 ERA in 4 starts
                J. Nicasio is 10-6 with a 2.94 ERA
                T. Chatwood is 3-8 with a 3.34 ERA

                E. Butler is in AA and is 5-8 with a 4.04 ERA

Tigers are also 1.5 GB in the AL Central behind the Royals and 2.5 GB in the AL WC

                A. Sanchez is 6-8 with a 4.39 ERA and R. Porcello is 3-12 with a 6.11 ERA

                R. Ray is 6-9 with a 3.24 ERA in AAA

KC is in first in the AL Central but has

                B. Chen (6-10 5.24 ERA), J. Guthrie (4-9 5.40 ERA) and A. Brooks (7-8 5.23 ERA)

Zimmer is 6-9 with a 3.57 ERA in AAA, well Ventura is 7-12 with a 4.86 and Duffy is 4-11 with a 4.21

Still not warming up to Plouffe to the Yankees though...any other ideas on where I can send Plouffe other than the Dodgers/Yankees? PHI, CIN, OAK (move Plouffe to 2B or OF), BOS (move Plouffe to LF), TOR (move Lawrie to 2B permanently) are some possible fits. Does anyone agree with me that LAD makes sense for Plouffe? A couple of guys have come down on the other side of that...just trying to see if there's a consensus against LA or not.

Sorry, as a Michigan fan, I can't address your question with a handle like that. Hope you understand.
Haven't really been paying attention to the whole Plouffe deal but why wouldn't he make sense for the Dodgers? He isn't expensive, shouldn't kill their system (which they don't want to do), and in your franchise is a pretty big upgrade for them at the hot corner. If you say it isn't a Dodger's move then I think you haven't been reading around reports here in the last while, they don't want to kill their farm in a trade so Plouffe is a bit perfect for them.

Back to the AL Central? Shields/Liriano is a good 1-2 playoff combo. I know you're moving other things around so I'm not sure what KC has but it should be enough.

I'm at the end of April, and Charlie Furbush has an ERA over 6. So, I decided to trade for a LHP. I offered the Phills C John Hicks, and LHP Anthony Fernandez for Antonio Bastardo, and a toss in pitching prospect, whose name I forgot (lol), anyways, is this a fair trade?

I havn't made any deals for KC yet. I did trade P. Alvarez to the Dodgers for Lee and and Stripling so the Pirates have already added some more young arms to go with Cole and Taillon

However they could use a solid 1B option and well I moved J. Harrison to 3B they could use someone there as well allowing Harrison to go back to a utility role playing the OF as well. They could also use a catcher being how I just dealt R. Martin.

I don't know the KC farm system that well and also wasn't sure what they would spend to get a rental like Liriano because it's unlikely they would pony up the money to sign him long term next season.

I could see maybe the Rockies spend money to keep him next year making him not a rental and they have some depth at C with guy's like McKenry and T. Murphy in AAA they also have alot of OF depth which could keep Harrison at 3B.

Tigers maybe 2B D. Travis (69/B) and move Walker to 3B. and with Detroit it gives them someone they might be able to resign for less money then trying to keep Scherzer

Spreadsheet says Low B for Bastardo so I would say Fernandez and Hicks is probably fair, but it would depend on what other pitching prospect you took back.

It's only April so I am not sure how likely it is the Phillies would want to move Bastardo.

M's have other lefties in the pen in Beimel and Luetge. Have you considered using them until you can work on getting Furbush's ERA down.

Another option for down the road, is James Russell from the Cubs. I dealt for him in my Franchise and he has been great and I know for a fact his name pops up in trade talks all the time.

I think I suggested Estrada for KC the other day (I hope it was your franchise, the pace in the thread has seemed to pick up the last couple days). If so, that would make more sense.

COL is the best dance partner and I suppose with the clock ticking on tulo+cargo, they might make a run at him. Hard to say, can't remember the last time the Rockies were relevant. I don't have the spreadsheet with me and don't have COL farm memorized but have COL pay a little, Liriano would have several bidders.

P.S. I use v2 of the spreadsheet. I make my own gut call adjustments but will there be or is there a v2.1 or v3?

The prospect I took back along with Bastardo was Ken Giles. He throws hard, but has not control lol.
