Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I did a fantasy draft and I'm comfortable with the amount of Mlb starters I have. Since they have 2 scrubs prolly looking for jobs next year & #s 2 and 3 at that. I could trade them an mlb ready pitcher for a project to give my roster better balance and preparing for the future.I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
How would a player like Giancarlo Stanton's value change in a walk year?
For example, he's hitting .265 with 24 HR's in June in my chise. The Marlins are terrible so I am not going to have him resign with Miami this offseason. That puts him on the trade block.
Obviously he's still worth quite a bit, but is he still worth spreadsheet value if he is a rental? Just something I was thinking about.Phillies | A's | Michigan State | Browns | Chelsea FC | BruinsComment

The Marlins would still want a ton, even if he was a rental.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm at the deadline in my first season and after my first few proposed trades were a bit too unfair I tried to even it up more. I posted my trades into google sheets so its nice and formatted and easy to read.

Once again looking for fairness even though no trade is going to be fair for both in my opinion. Not looking for realistic.
ThanksSt. Louis Cardinals

I'm not a fan of the Papelbon, Aviles, Simon, and Cuddyer deals. Not enough value for any of these. Most of the rest seem fathomable.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

It's an improvement. But, there are still some odd things with deals being padded with random replacement level players. I don't see any reason for Koyie Hill in the Utley trade as an example. It's almost like roster moves for the sake of moving players.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm in July with my A's/Padres franchise. I've already gotten some feedback on my potential Padres trades (thanks Deuce!), so now I'd like to toss out some possibilities for the A's. The A's are in contention, 2 GB Seattle in the West and 1st for the WC.
There are three main players I'm interested in, but I'm not sure if any of them make sense for a mid-season trade or if I should wait until the off-season. Here are the players I'm willing to possibly trade:
Spoiler
AJ Griffin - 13-3, 3.07 ERA, 1.21 WHIP
Scott Kazmir - 7-6, 4.01 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 7.3 K/9
Jim Johnson - 0-3, 20 SV, 2.96 ERA, 1.36 WHIP
Alberto Callaspo - .274/.351/.372, 7 HR
Jed Lowrie - .252/.330/.364, 6 HR
Coco Crisp - .246/.318/.328, 16 SB
Josh Reddick - .234/.293/.405, 14 HR
Billy McKinney (Low B, Single A)
Bobby Wahl (Low B, AA) - 4-7, 3.48 ERA, 1.26 WHIP
And here are the players I'm interested in :
Spoiler
Indians (51-43, 1st AL Central)
Needs: RP, OF
Nick Swisher - .259/.344/.432. 14 HR
Shaun Marcum (AAA) - 10-5, 3.40 ERA, 1.29 WHIP
Thoughts: The Indians are doing well and Swisher has been solid for them at 1B. This really doesn't make sense for a mid-season trade, but any thoughts on what they would want for an off-season trade? Could I start with Lowrie, Crisp, and Wahl?
White Sox (40-56, 5th AL Central 12 GB)
Needs: Everything
Adam Eaton - .249/.325/.386, 11 HR, 10 SB
Adam Dunn - .244/.340/.366 in 164 AB, 4 HR
Thoughts: I think this one is the most realistic right now. I know the White Sox haven't had Eaton for long, but I have to imagine they'd give him up for something like Griffin + McKinney. Again, may wait for the off-season.
Giants (50-45, 2nd NL West, 5.5 GB, 2nd NL WC)
Needs: SP, 1B, 2B, OF
Brandon Belt - .214/.310/.344, 8 HR
Thoughts: I'm really only mentioning him because of his poor performance. Probably a bit out of my price range still, but how long do you think his leash is in SF if he keeps struggling?
Any ideas? I would really like to get both Swisher and Eaton and would be willing to overpay a bit, but I know I may only have the pieces for one of them. Thanks!Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So in Year 1 in my dynasty, Joe Nathan is having a season that is the exact opposite of how he's playing IRL.
0-1, 31 saves, 0.94 ERA
I'm hoping to ship him out this offseason, as I'm probably moving Joakim Soria to closer (Or maybe someone from my farm). What can I get for Nathan? A mid-level prospect?
Any thoughts?Wolverines vs. The World || DavidTheGreat's Michigan Wolverines (NCAA14)
Season 1: 11-2 (Won Rose Bowl vs. Arizona)
Season 2: 0-0
