I'm starting a ChiSox franchise starting with the current offseason. I'm not really good with fastball/curveball type pitchers for some reason--especially Quintana. He's got some value and is inexpensive. Although it might not be realistic for the Pale Hose to let him go, what could be some realistic destinations and returns if they/I did put him out on the trade block? I'd really like starting pitching but that might not be feasibly realistic at all. Otherwise, I'm looking for a lefty hitting LF and bullpen options or quality prospects over quantity. A catcher prospect would be nice, too.

Charlie Blackman of the Rockies could work. He hits well. Dunno how you feel about Dominic Brown, he too could be an option.

Personally I am a fan of Gerardo Parra of the Brewers. Can hit alittle, rocket arm. Off season but year before hit 43 doubles.

Maybe realistic if I helped the Reds problems: Quintana and Viciedo for Latos and Stephenson?

NO!!!!!! They can get so much more for Latos alone and Stephenson is going to taking over in the rotation for whoever gets traded this offseason.

Please, one year of a declining Latos for five of a SP who did better than him this year in the AL and has five years of inexpensive team control and really appealing to the cash strapped Reds...Sorry, but Latos and ? for Quintana. We can leave Viciedo (who weakly fills a need) and Stephenson out. But I thought a pitching prospect, which busts more than not, seemed pretty reasonable.

              So, Latos plus who?

Same as in real life--I'm starting in the upcoming offseason. I'm going to try and sign Schierholtz as a platoon bat. Could still use a C, a few RP, and SP. Quintana I'd keep but I just don't have success with him for whatever reason so even a like for like swap would be fine, prospects could be okay as well. Was also looking to give a 2B for a RP at some point, got a lot of so-so options that could fill a need for someone else.

Texas for Odor+something nice (Nick Williams? idk) might work if you like Odor like I do.

Aramis is having a decent season in August: .286/16/49.

Brewers aren't contending and Phils are in 1st (Don't ask how...)

For Aramis to be had, does Franco have to be included or could it be done with Asche + someone like Severino Gonzalez (I assume Nola is too valuable as well as Biddle)

Do you see any way the Pirates could acquire Jose Abreu from CWS ? I'd rather not touch to Cole, McCutchen or Polanco...would a package of Glasnow/Taillon + Bell/Meadows + Hanson/McGuire/Ramirez/Jones/Mathisen be something they would consider ?

Yeah, thought so. I don't get to watch a lot of baseball being in Montreal, so I'm almost purely basing my interest in Abreu on the ratings I see in the OSFM roster...boy does he look nice ! But I guess he's pretty much out of reach for any team, or Polanco would at least HAVE TO be involved in the deal, which I'd rather not.

Thought maybe a good amount of good prospect (I don't really see CWS being interested in any of my roster guys...Walker, Marte maybe ?) could do it, since CWS seem to be lacking pretty much everywhere I look...oh well.

I gotta find a 1st baseman though, the Davis/Sanchez thing isn't working for me, and Walker/Alvarez aren't proving the power I need out of my 4th spot. Any names come to mind ?
