Agree - I might think of dealing Brown for Cook if I could move Papelbon first and let Cook close.

Or target Parker, Strailey, Griffin or Raul Alcantara

Cook isn't THAT valuable. The others are good targets though.

It's hard to come up with a decent deal for Brown just because he can't fetch a top prospect but settling on decent big league players seems like a tough task. Jarrod Parker would be a good target for Brown, but I'm not sure Brown is enough for him.

Playing as the Cubs, I think I have settled on a trade to deal Samardzija. Let me know if this needs any tweaking.

Cubs trade: Jeff Samardzija, Darwin Barney
Blue Jays trade: Aaron Sanchez, DJ Davis, Alberto Tirado

I know AC suggested something similar a while back. I figured the Jays could use Barney because their 2B situation is pretty ugly, and I want to move him, so included him and Tirado.

I would love to get Norris instead of Tirado, but I think that would be too much. Maybe I could add another RP to get Norris instead of Tirado? Any thoughts?

Playing as the Cubs, I think I have settled on a trade to deal Samardzija. Let me know if this needs any tweaking.

Ooh man, Tirado and Norris are both hard to give up. I think Norris is a comparable prospect to Sanchez, so I'd stick with Tirado. Aside from that, the trade is pretty much perfect.

along with the pirates i enjoy following both the marlins and rays, and in my opinion i think the rays would be interested in dom brown. dejesus is older and not performing. dom brown still is young and has some control. not sure they have major league types to give up, but i would give up a mike montgomery who at the least could be turned into a late inning reliever and maybe even their number 3 prospect hak-ju lee. they just signed escobar to an extention and the have middle infield depth behind him.

Lee could be a nice start but Montgomery doesn't have a ton of value lol.

What about Hak Ju Lee and Hellickson Odorizzi or Enny Romero for Brown? Too much?

Hopefully I can complete that Cliff Lee to the Dodgers trade so in the next year I'd like to have my rotation be Hamels, (Preferably RHP from a Brown trade), Biddle, Burnett, Miguel Gonzalez.

Burnett drops off pretty far from sims I've done so depending on if OSFM is like that too he won't be able to be a #2 starter anymore I don't think.
